@@JuanCarlos-rc2fg double click the sample in the Playlist to open it and under the "Time Stretching" it has a "mode" option where you can click the drop down arrow and choose "stretch".
This has to be the most unexpectedly helpful FL short I’ve seen. Finally my automation clips won’t take up the whole playlist at first and I can just do the red highlight thing!
I've known this for a fat minute but I remember my whole mind exploding when I found out how to do that I love seeing people have the same reactions I had whenever I'd find things out
Regularly I just highlight my transitional period, copy value of each bpm and paste em in. There might be a reason why you do it that way but this way works for me.
YOU'RE A LEGEND MY MAN! 'Been trying to make these tempo changes on fl for my metalcore project (I use fl bc of the piano roll for the drums, it's so much easier) and was almost going insane trying to find a solution. the goat.
You can also use min and max values of automation. Where you can copy the value of bpm and paste in min or max knobs. This is more cleaner way to change bpm.
Just do it without highlighting and you will get an automation clip for the whole track and it’s much easier to actually make it smoothly run into the new bpm
It is not necessary to create two automation clips, you just have to create one with the current bpm, then change the bpm you want as you did in the video, and instead of creating another automation clip You give it "copy value" and you can now paste it into the clip, it is much faster and more effective 🔥🔥
You only needed to make one automation clip after copying and pasting the initial BPM value and then copying and pasting the desired transitional BPM value. I've had BPM changes on the ends of my songs with a piano with reverb and it sounds really nice and finishes the song quite well.
Awesome tip! But you don't need to create two different automation clips. You can do it with one step less. Just set the bpm, copy, undo with ctrl + z and copy to the and of the unique automation clip 👍🏼 Cheers from Brazil! 🇧🇷
Crazy I wondered about this a long time ago but I thought it wasn’t a thing because if you want an increase in bpm you have to just start at the highest then work from your lowest
Your a god send! I’m in my first week of trying to learn to make beats and this is sooooo helpful! I thought maybe I would have to copy and paste into a different tempo and change the bpm that way but thanks to you I don’t thank you brudda!!
Just hit switch all audio clips to real time stretching function and than make single automation of BPM and change wherever you want to automate no need to make every sample stretch mode 🙏🏼
@@JayPhatty lol. I'm working on the ear and the research. Just lucked out on this because of certain tracks growing up and Austin powers for helping me learn more about the legend.
This is a great video. I tried it with my samples on stretch mode, but no matter what, the sample length changes. How do you get your samples to stay the same length while changing pitch?
you forgot to mention that the sample should be set at stretch mode otherwise the sample gonna sound like chipmunk.
You're right! Thank you!
@@JayPhatty How do I put the stretch mode? Where do I find it?

Just make one automation clip for all. Then right click -> copy the values and paste them
Regularly I just highlight my transitional period, copy value of each bpm and paste em in. There might be a reason why you do it that way but this way works for me.
I love that effect
Straight to the point. Just like what an instruction video should do.

Bro you just frucked my life up. THANK YOU! Just as I'm about to do an EP where I want the BPM to build with every track! Allllll the love!
You can also set the bpm, copy value of the tempo you want it to after creating the automation clip, and paste the value into the automation
Great tip bro 👊🏽
U can also copy the initial bpm by right clicking on the tempo at the top
Thanx for your support ☺️

Eye opening video.
Personally I would only use one automation clip and copy paste the values directly from the bpm selector.
Thank you, straight to the point

double click on sample
in "time" right click and set to project tempo

Stretch should phix that issue. Make sure you're not resetting the time knob after switching to stretch
