I worked at bending branches making paddles for a couple of years😂. It's dope to hear that you use one! Also, thanks for the advice, man. I'm about to go on a trip so this really helps out.
That cinnamon color on the lunker log is beyond great. In New Hampshire. I've caught so many Big largemouth bass on just that lore alone. It's fantastic! It's so good
Do a River Series! Popular rivers all across the country! The Buffalo National River in Arkansas is on my bucket list. The Illinois in OK is amazing. I'm sure there are tons of others. Hit all of the big ones in TX and then branch out. I'd watch every single video.
I just bought this kayak. I will tell you one thing, it does not track well in the wind even with the skeg. It also doesn't float straight. It likes to float sideways down current. There is a reason why he's so cockeyed in the water in his video and getting pissed when its windy.
Hopefully you can return it. I have a Oldtown pdl 120 with xi3 bow mounted and its amazing. If I were to go even bigger I would probably get a Native Titan 12 X.
Mountain House freeze dried meals, WAY better in flavor! I even grab one now and then for supper if I am to tired to cook. The beef stroganoff is really good! Roll up solar panel, rig it on the front of the camera kayak to charge batteries during the day. My bad knees say no to a kayak... I need a seat 20" high to get up after sitting a long time... I have looked at that Blue Sky Boat Works Angler 360.. but for the price I can get a decent jon boat to trick out... The Tracker 1648 is on my radar... local river is boatable, not many places I go where a kayak is required and quit a few where a kayak is downright dangerous(one spot where the river hits a rock wall and does a 90 degree turn, creates an eddy that in high water has sucked 12' fishing boats under, huge catfish there though!)
What’s up man love watching your videos been watching for min I hope your having an amazing day and thank you for your videos Inspired me to go out and fishing and just caught my pb and it was a 10 pound almost hitting 11 thanks for everything and all the help you give out in your videos wish you the best and thank you again 🎣🔥👍
Hey I know a river! I know you guys are big bass men (duh) but the Au Sable river in northern Michigan. One of the most legendary rivers in the US, and regarded as one of the best trout streams in the world. Five dam ponds on it with fast rapids at the start, 120 miles, all in isolated wilderness, what's not to love?
The Lower Lehigh/Delaware River Confluence. I cant catch a bass to save my life in this area (Northampton County). I dont own a boat or kayak but I would love to see how you would fish it and learn from your experience. We do a lot of bank fishing and I know the bass are there.
Would I be better suited to mount my anchor wizard on the bow or stern? I usually fish rivers, might take my kayak on some smaller lakes. I usually try and go up stream so I have the current to help me back to the car when I am done fishing/tired. I like to anchor at a spot for a few minutes/break it down and move up.
check out wakeskate shoes for water shoes their basically skateboarding with foam soles and made of mesh so they dont hold water but it fits like a real sneaker
Why not a pedal or pwr kayak for river trips? Curious as I’m weighing my options. Just moved from Florida (fished lakes and bay) to Texas and looking at river trips.
i think you should try a survival challenge with a belly tube on a budget on the same river. so people can see how affordable this enjoyable experience is edit. with the same camping gear or fewer
You can pick up a used kayak for $200 pretty easily. Heck, I saw one for $50 and two for $200 yesterday on FB. A cheap kayak is going to be miles better than a tube IMO.
Also, I've been to that exact location that you're filming at right now. Isn't that the warehouse? And I don't remember the name of the town in Texas. It's got like a four-letter name. I can't remember it though
What happened to lojo I just went to see if he uploaded his next episode of his pond expansion and his channel is gone and isn’t even posted in the googan squad channel
Wouldn’t say it ever died but I definitely agree with most of can’t afford a boat. Although I can’t afford a boat right now I will have a nice bass boat one day. Not sure when but I will work my ass off until I do!
Nice kayak. But most kayaks like that wouldn't last 20 minutes in class II or III rivers that are where I live. I have pulled out salmon over 14lbs out of them and I always used a sea kayak. You can see some footage of big salmon on Todd's channel. One example th-cam.com/video/smLZuiTBVxY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SE4LnDzkLPkhlKK- The sea kayak cuts across the current much better than most kayaks because of the hull design using the ferry glide technique. It also allows the flow of the river to run around the boat in an eddy so that you can sit longer in that eddy and cast to catch fish. Todd and I mastered river fishing more than a decade ago in the PNW. Sea kayaks carry weeks of equipment in the hull and don't suffer buoyancy issues like sit on tops. Happy fishing
come fishing in holland some time.. catch some real big pike/zander/perch.. i love seeing youtubers out of their comfort zone.. also too many bass fishing vids and not enough big bass..Also im more into the fishing/experience.. less into the stuff.. so not really my vid i guess.
Don't mean to intrude Jon. Does anyone have any info on Lojo's channel and as I am not a YT expert is our information safe? Just curious. I really hope Lojo can get his channel and content back. Thanks.
@@klafxela You would think Google has enough money and technology to protect it's content creators and users. Channel hacked by someone showing one live stream of crypto BS. I won't name the channel but it's gone too.
Wait. So you packed around 45 pounds of water instead of a 6 ounce Sawyer water filter? 🤦🏼 .....no shade, but please consult with someone who guides kayak and / or backpacking trips. Your experience could be infinitely better with the right kind of equipment.
Love the VP racing fuel cans, I have three. They’re the best. But, I was wondering if the plastic is rated for potable water .. ? I think it would not be lol talk about consuming some microplastics diiiiim yo lol
I implore you to look into what they filter… all those fields around.. guess what you are drinking the fertilizer and pesticide run off… those are for emergency situations and should be used as such unless in extremely high altitude or a natural stream where the waters guaranteed clean..
To call an 85lb kayak light, you must have some kind of serious head injury... It might be "light" for a fishing kayak but buddy, it's still a pig. A Hurricane Sweetwater weighs like 50lbs

You should camp and fish the boundary waters in northern Minnesota.
The Yellowstone or Gallatin or somewhere in Western Montana would be awesome!
Youre the goat Jon 💪Thank you for inspiring me to make content while I fish

@@pwner2298 lol
His issue was he was WAYYYY to heavy on the back, with any amount of wind its going to pitch you.
@@andrewboyce7268 No its not. I pack like 20 pounds in my yak and the tracking is terrible unless you paddle. The skeg is useless.
The green river here in ky would be legit.
we need to see some musky fishing

Mountain fork river or Glover river. Both are in Southeast Oklahoma. Great rivers and awesome native smallmouth bass.

I do not think you can but any sort of drive in place of the dry pod on the RVR, similar to the SS series
What ever happened to your pond that you built?

Jon your the man
Should do the Shenandoah River
Those power packs are an absolute necessity for me,i keep one in my car and i take one on my yak
Always good content, what are the shoes you have in the kayak, looks like paracord
Do you take a gps device with you on these trips? Like a Garmin inreach mini 2 or any PLB
illinois river next!
I'll be floating the Illinois in OK in a month! We do it every year. It's such a fun time.
Sweet info and always hilarious - thanks yo ! ! !

I feel like the ultimate river fishing kayak would have pedals
I thought I was watching the lake fork guy channel...lol
I think you messed up with not trolling when you were going 5mph floating down the river
I’m glad to see Kayak fishing making a comeback. Most of us can’t afford a boat.
