- All the babies have been let out to play, but before we know it, a winter storm is coming and we have to save the babies from the weather!
Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

I love that Lydia and Ethan are big kids on their own adventures, but seeing Ivy giggling with the baby goats made me think back to when Lydia was that small, giving goat milking lessons to the camera🥰

The grayish one with all the moonspots is my absolute favorite on this group. Second, the one that's mostly white. She reminds me of the one from Blue Cactus that Crystal lost.

Seeing Ivy with DaNelle, brought back memories of clips when Ethan and Lydia, were younger. Lydia, was still so young, in some clips, she kind of stole the entire show, with her cuteness. Now, when I seen Ivy spending time, with her Aunt, it took me back to those early days, you sometimes share with us.
Excellent ‘people-friendly’ training the little ones, that needed that extra wee push. They seem much more confident with people touching them now.
It is always so heartbreaking to see Tilly being so mean to Newt. She's a baby bully. It was very nice to see your niece Ivy. I was just like her when I was little. I still have a soft spot for baby goats. 😂
Those little buck noises are so cute >.< almost as funny as a baby rooster learning to crow!

I do agree. I’m just outside Toronto and we’re getting whomped with 20-25 cm of snow (that’s about 8-10 feet, if I am calculating correctly) through this evening and over night. It’s going to be a huge mess. My plan is to hibernate, till after the snow removal trucks clean up the roads, lol.
2 of my Does decided theirs would be delivered during a snow storm! Teens and 20’s. I don’t like using a heat lamp. Hoped for the best. Mama’s cuddled and kept them warm.

Lola and Tucket have improved so much. My favourites are still Cedar and Aspen. Newt reminds me of Willow and Hope in how he is full of fun and mischief.

it's interesting to see that the bond between the mom's and the kids didn't break even when you separated them for a few days to bottle train them , which means that the crucial bonding time happens in the the first few days.
Also Lola is just stunning I know looks doesn't matter but whoever will be her new owner is going to be lucky
So how are the barn addition plans going? You definitely need more stalls.

You should keep Lola and aspen. Then you'd have room for some red girl babies or prim babies. I have a feeling raven won't be kept because of the small teats. I really want to see baby red girls. Reeba is my favorite goat over all so I'm most exited for hers. She has up to 5 right?
It’s been storming HORRIBLY at my place the last 3 days! Bad floods, 80 mph wind gusts, fallen trees everywhere, and tornado watch galore! I’m glad y’all were more prepared than us! BUT THOSE LITTLE BUCK NOISES WERE JUST- AHH ❤❤❤

My MIL has property in Surprise that had the roof peel off in the storm. Hubby and his brother are out dealing with it. They were supposed to be having a fun visit going to spring training games.
We need a Newt channel, that way he can stay by earning his keep.
Theses storms and the winds that come with them this year have been crazy. Up this end of the valley we didn't loose to many tree limbs. I know you lost some in the storms it was last year right? I don't mind the rain but
