wow this is very detailed walk you did. and how i did not even know about this when i visited i will never know. the abbotts chair was cool and something ive seen before in spain of all places lol
It's a hidden gem and a beautiful place to visit. They should do a better job promoting it. It was better for us that it wasn't crowded and made the visit very peaceful and enjoyable. We always thought the St. Joan of Arc Chapel on the campus of Marquette University in our hometown was the oldest building of European descent in North America. Nope. Wow!!

It was very interesting when we were doing our background research to find that this was originally the Monastery of St. Bernard de Clairvaux, built in Sacramenia, Spain, between 1133-1144, and it said to be the oldest building in the Western Hemisphere. We learn something new everyday. I'm going to have to read up on St. Joan of Arc Chapel.
