A good training for getting your "aim" on point is paper cup training. Or rather a slice of pool noodle. Start at 3 metres and get 3 arrows in a row into the cuo/noodle and then 2 steps back. Only go back once you get 3 in a row. It works beautifully for trad

hi Jake, your longbow is not configured for 3 fingers under, so tiller +0.5 that's why it makes more noise and vibrations with my 62 recurve i tried and surrenderer to shoot 3 fingers under, and the bow reacts better with the traditionnal technical (silent, no vibrations, faster) if people prefer aiming with the arrow's tip, they have to order modified bows, and only with small builders ! it's logical !

After a while I realised it wasn't quite 'doing it' for me and it was too 'mechanical', for want of a better description. Enter the short Asiatic bow and instinctive shooting. I love it! 😃 So having gone around Harvey's barn to get here, it would be great to see you try one out (if you haven't already) and hear your thoughts on the experience. No more centre-shot bows with these bows! 'Khatra' to compensate and also for spine. Well made laminated bows can be real speed demons with light (8-10 grains/lb) arrows! Armin Hirmer's eponymous YT channel is a great resource for bow reviews especially, as well as other equipment and tips. Keep up the great content, Jake, it's always interesting, practical and appreciated 👍
I also watch Himmer, excellent reviews, although he usually uses light draw bows. And after you've loosed one arrow, it's no longer instinctive. You have a basis to improve on.

been shooting compound bow for 2½ months now, i really much preciate all the tips and technics ive learned from you what you did here is also what i had in mind to do next, altho been focusing on 18m for shooting test if you want to see results, i have few vids on my channel i must say, this made me realise i should be really proud of my self Thank You Very very much
Although I appreciate the thwip of the arrow zinging past the camera, I would have stuck it , I know it! I shoot budget arrows, but really like the Gold Tip Warrior 600 spine for my 40 pounders. Merry Christmas to you and your Wife.
I agree with Aokijy. Maybe you already do, but If you haven't tried stump shooting with a group of fellow archer buddies, it's a blast. I live in the mountains of Southern Oregon and we have public land all around us. Lately we've been shooting some flu-flus at aerial targets. There's nothing like hitting a pine cone 40 yard up in a big sugar pine. I cant wait til spring!
The best thing I would suggest to trad guys watching this is to observe how Jake gets alignment and then comes off the string. No fly away releases and he is using strong back tension. Jake has lots of formal training using back tension to achieve clean releases.

I'm wondering where you anchor. It doesn't look like the corner of your mouth, so you might be using your thumb?
Hello Jake, Right at the end you said that was a 80cm target it looks bigger than a 40 but smaller than an 80.
I thought it was an 80 but possibly not, it disintegrated in the rain so no way to know anymore.
It’s actually a 60cm just realized.
I do do much worse when I aim. Honestly, my shooting is getting worse.
I try shooting with no sight and it is hard
