He'd play on the second D-Unit behind Quinn Hughes - putting him in a good position to find his game and thrive. Miller, the "locker room cancer", will have a lot to prove and will play his arse off. Apparently Nick Kypreos suggested that recently - giving MY trade proposal some credence and showing that I'm not crazier than a sh!thouse rat. lol

Don't let the Leafs position in the standings fool you. This team is not bad but they are not "good". Not good enough to contend for the Stanley Cup anyways, let alone win it. Goaltending is fine, defense can do with a bit more work, but the major issue is with the core four. This team lives and dies depending on how the core four perform and it's way too inconsistent to be a powerhouse in this league. Nothing against them individually because I love all those players but the combination doesn't work as a Stanley Cup contending team. The only thing that hasn't changed throughout all these seasons of lost hope is the core four + Rielly and Shanahan. I can't say who gets to stay and who has to go but I hope they get broken up and bring in players that can bring balance and heart to this team.

They are both better players separately, we've seen enough, almost a decade of it. I don't care if they want to play together, they play together poorly. Let them earn that ice time together on the PP. If they only come together on the PP it may give the team a more dangerous look on the PP and won't allow the opponent to slowly adapt and shut them down all game long. #3. Put Jake McCabe back with Chris Tanev for the love of God. You took the best #1 shutdown pair you had, split it and bombed McCabe's team leading blocks and +/- by -6 in the last 4 games next to Morgan Rielly. #4. Give William Nylander proper linemates. I understand that John Tavares is out, but why is it that everyone has to play with the "best player" and Captain of the team in Auston Matthews to make him look good, yet we still lose games badly. We can't seem to find a single player with above 20 goals to play with Nylander, who is still managing to double and triple shift and produce. You have taken Matthew Knies from him and John instantly the day Matthews returned and now even Bobby McMann because both are unavailable. It's becoming difficult for line chemistry and cohesion. #5. As soon as Anthony Stolarz is healthy, get him and Joseph Woll back to a 50/50 tandem. If Stolarz looks up to it, give him 60/40 load to allow Joseph Woll a much deserved reset and reload. #6. Get a PF Goal scoring Centre. I don't care who it is, but they need +20 goals this season (at least 15 by the deadline) and they need to be able to run a line. #7. Give the fans a reason to cheer. Our expectations are rock bottom. Most fans will celebrate effort and passion. Look like you tried and want to be out there. Win the 1st round and don't get walked in the 2nd and we'll literally throw the Leafs a parade. We criticize because we love this team and what it stands for. We want to see our team succeed, and we want to be there when it happens. Give us a reason to keep Be-leafing.

We literally were turning it over like crazy the last minute of the game holy....Minnesota forechecked us good and kept us to the outside and we couldn't get set up or generate anything......a 10 point lead is now gone and now Florida is back up, our offense has dried right up this is NOT good, idk if we need the break or what cause evaporating a 10 point lead in the division is inexcusable and why is Holmberg out there trying to tie the game in the last 1:30?
O zone: too much perimeter shooting, get in there, create havoc. D zone: team defense is a Swiss 🧀 cheese, keep it a tight, don’t collapse and break out faster. Other teams do it, why not the Leafs. Things are Leafy again. GLG!

It's Berube's system. It's low event hockey. You sacrifice a bit of scoring for better defensive play. So far, it's worked that way. Both goals for and against are down from last season. However, the Leafs' main issue in the playoffs has never been their defensive play. Its been their inability to score.

Concerning because the main reason they get sent home every year, is because they can’t score goals in tight checking playoff games, however the comments are over dramatic for a loss to the Wild in January. Fans who are griping aren't looking at this one individual loss to Minnesota as their source of concern. They're looking at the entire season so far and this is one game out of many that the Leafs have underperformed, regardless of whether they won or lost. Leafs seem to win when a member or two of the core four go Super Saiyan or the goalie stands on his head, which would be fine if it was a common or regular occurrence but that hasn't been the case so far this season. Wishing for heroes to win games instead of solid fundamentals is not a recipe to win the Stanley Cup.

Low event style has killed their offense. Plus, they get nothing from the bottom six and the D can't score, that's why they're not winning games. When you only score 3 goals in 3 games you're finished. Split up 34 & 16, they aren't doing enough to stay together and should be driving their own lines along with 88. Spread out these players and try to get some others going, cause what they're are doing now isn't working.

1. Split up Marner and Matthews... Put Marner on a line with players he has no confidence can score so he's forced to shoot more 2. New team rule. If the team gets less than 35 shots on goal in a loss, then you bagskate them hard for 5 minutes plus 1 minute for every shot below the 35 threshold - so if they lose with only 20 SOG - they get bagskated for 20 minutes the next day. Dare I say it, I don't think you'll ever see them not shoot on an outnumbered rush again.

Concerning because the main reason they get sent home every year, is because they can’t score goals in tight checking playoff games, however the comments are over dramatic for a loss to the Wild in January. If they go into Edmonton and kick their asses on Saturday night, everybody will be right back on board
Fans who are griping aren't looking at this one individual loss to Minnesota as their source of concern. They're looking at the entire season so far and this is one game out of many that the Leafs have underperformed, regardless of whether they won or lost. Leafs seem to win when a member or two of the core four go Super Saiyan or the goalie stands on his head, which would be fine if it was a common or regular occurrence but that hasn't been the case so far this season. Wishing for heroes to win games instead of solid fundamentals is not a recipe to win the Stanley Cup.
@@hottuna2006 Ya they piss me off too, but they’ve had a ton of major injuries all year, Matthews, Stolarz, Knies, Tavares, Pacioretti, McCabe all missing time and they still held on to first in the Atlantic. So I’ll give them credit for that, but because they’ve never won sht and have never shown us they can raise their game when it counts, we don’t afford them the same credibility as the Avs or Panthers when they go dark for weeks at a time

Can Anyone in Leaf Nation please make sense on why Matthews and Marner are still playing together?? Willy plays with anyone and had more quality chances than both those guys combined. I’m so sick of seeing these two in the same line. When Matthews was out, Marner was arguably the best player in the league. So anyone please make sense of this. Come on Chief, wake up!!!!!

Low event style has killed their offense. Plus, they get nothing from the bottom six and the D can't score, that's why they're not winning games. When you only score 3 goals in 3 games you're finished. Split up 34 & 16, they aren't doing enough to stay together and should be driving their own lines along with 88. Spread out these players and try to get some others going, cause what they're are doing now isn't working.

in all honesty i felt leafs should have won this game...willie had gust beat clean and got all iron goal post..papi almost 2 or 3...leafs many more shot attempts n scoring chances...many more.. and im not sure why media ask a leaf to talk bad about another player...especially a leaf...they wouldnt do that publically...waste of a question

Who are the goal scores in this team?.
1. Split up Marner and Matthews... Put Marner on a line with players he has no confidence can score so he's forced to shoot more
2. New team rule. If the team gets less than 35 shots on goal in a loss, then you bagskate them hard for 5 minutes plus 1 minute for every shot below the 35 threshold - so if they lose with only 20 SOG - they get bagskated for 20 minutes the next day. Dare I say it, I don't think you'll ever see them not shoot on an outnumbered rush again.
