Bought my second fit this week. Traded the 2013 Sport for a 2019 EX and I already love it even more than the old one! Lots of technology to learn and options to play with. This review was really helpful in explaining some of the features I wasn't sure about. Thanks!
Thanks for this good review.! I've been obsessing over buying a Honda Fit for a while and after seeing this review I am more excited to know all these features upon arriving at a dealership. Thank you so much.
It's funny my Honda dealer didn't give me all that information I think you give me about 80% but I still like the car and I appreciate the extra 20% from you
Just found out today from your vid that the symbols of 2 cars means bringing fresh air or recycling them ahaha. 2 birds one stone. Literally was thinking about this 5 hours ago and looking for Honda Fit reviews since I’m buying one for my wife this Tuesday. Great vid!!
Nice job! I owned a 2017 Honda Fit Ex, this video gave me a few quick shots of what is different between my car, (which I dearly miss after it was hit while parked in the night by a drunk driver), and the car I'm looking to buy, the 2019 Honda Fit. I hope the moonroof is still a feature!
@@JustinFullerReviews Thanks! Great to know! And is it just me, or did the prices raise on the Fits recently? I just got in the market for one, and I saw that they came in at around 17,000+ (for an EX with automatic transmission) on release earlier, but right now they're being listed at nearly 20 grand. I feel like the prices climbed for Christmas, but I could be perceiving it wrong. I bought a 2017 back in May of 2017 with an awesome deal... the car was about 17 grand and I got 0.0 APR on the financing. I was stoked! But looking at the 2019's, they seem MUCH more expensive right now in December than my 2017 did... so I'm wondering if part of that is timing? Everyone keep saying the end of the year is the best time to buy a car, but it just looks like it's actually a more expensive time to buy than May was.
@@ZakEmber LX manual transmissions (lowest trim level) start at $17085 (including destination). The EX auto starts at $19855. I checked what the MSRP was on a 2017 EX auto - $19855. Two years later, with the same MSRP.
@@JustinFullerReviews So it's possible to get a 2019 Honda Fit EX for $17,000+? But Honda doesn't offer 0 percent interest loans? Isn't 0.9% the lowest on 60 months?
Awesome video! I just purchased this car and found this video super helpful! A must watch for any new EX owner. One question - how was the inside of the car in the hot temperature? My only concern about this car was the black leather interior getting very hot in the summer. I usually go for a lighter colored leather for that reason.
I was looking between the Fit and the Civic. The Civic's front end looks really cool. But I ended up going with the Fit for the cost and feature set. Android Auto works well, especially with Waze and the various audio apps I have. I do have an issue with my phone, though, in that it will lock up and I'll have to reboot the phone to get Android Auto working properly and making a good connection. (I blame Android Auto, not the car.) I had forgotten about the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel. I'll want to remap that menu key to switch between Android Auto and AM radio, which is a common thing I do and takes about 4 menu button pushes on the screen. The one question I have is about the speakers. I'm wondering if I should upgrade the system to get better bass, or if there is an equalizer in the system that I've missed. Is it worth it to replace the speakers with an after-market kit? The one thing that frustrates me is that with all these cameras on the car, none of them have user-accessible recordings. So if there's an accident or situation around me, I have no way to get a recording of the event. I've had to buy a dash mount camera.
Thanks for the comments. I am sure you could replace the speakers and find a better sound for your fit. There is an equalizer you can adjust. I think having the ability to record those cameras would be a great option.
@@JustinFullerReviews I did find the equalizer. Home -> Settings -> Audio. Gives the user the ability to adjust bass, midrange, and Treble. (Going off memory.)
Have a '17 EX-L Fit and love it except for the looks but I understand the looks are what offers the high headroom so all well combined with the moonroof and it is a VERY spacious feel inside. I LOVE my MP3 player for all my music I have burned over the years and wonder if the '19 Fit has that player. You didn't mention it and I heard Honda is discontinuing it on some or all models coming up?
Is it possible to do a quick review on a Fit EX manual transmission? I'd be curious as to how the honda sensing, ACC, LKAS work with a manual transmission.
I would be happy to put something together as soon as I have one in. Manual transmission are not produced nearly as much as the CVT's. But if I can get my hands on one I will make a video.
If Honda or your bank/credit union is offering a great rate I would finance the vehicle and leave my money in an account gaining interest. If you can pay cash and avoid the interest all together it is not a bad move especially if available interest rates are high. I know most people just do not have that money on hand to do so.
Backup cameras are standard on all Hondas. In the EX model the car comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These programs allow you to plug your phone into the USB and pull the navigation along with several other apps onto the touch screen and use them from there.
You'd have to go all the way up to the Fit EX-L (top trim) to even get the option for navigation, which is an extra $1000. The nice thing is that does come with 5 years of free map updates, but for the price I think you're really better off utilizing Android Auto/Apple CarPlay or just buying a standalone navigation system.
Are there any requirements that must be met to set the follow distance for the ACC system? I can't seem to get the follow distance to show up on the display. I can see that its active when I hit the Main button, but the bars that show follow distance don't appear.
If you get a Honda Fit, do not get black. As good as it looks. AC is very weak in this car compared almost every other car. Other than that this the Honda Fit is a great car
On the EX model with the Honda sensing, the dealer wanted $600 to implement the sound on the backup system. Say what?!? $600 on a 2019 model for sound? My son's used 2015 Ford Fiesta has sound capabilities. C'mon Honda, you can do better than that...
Thanks but you talk so fast, but im playing this over n over. My salesman at El Cerrito Honda Calif will not return my calls, im very disappointed. Nice car but the tec stuff is a challenge for this old guy. But i do have the fone #. Thanks again.
This is the one of the best Honda Fit ex reviews I've watched. Saving it so I can rewatch it when I finally get my car. Thank you for making it.
Amazing little car. Actually fun to drive.

This is a great review. Wow. And wow the features on new cars these days. Thanks for the great video.

I always love Honda and I really love how this 2019 Honda Fit EX look in appearance.
Just got mine yesterday. It's my third fit. Love it, but I do miss the passenger side drink holder and upper glove box.

Thank you for this! Just bought a 2019 FIT!
Congrats on the new Honda!
Great review. Quick and to the point. Thanks!

Thanx for the great review.. I just bought a 2019 & really didn't know what those buttons do

EX and above come with a moonroof standard.

Tint goes a long way on this. I would recommend it if you have concerns. With good tint you should be just fine.

@@CarolineR555 I've had my 2018 honda fit with tinted windows for a year in Florida and haven't had any issues. I also bought a sunshade.

Most helpful. Thank you.
I might of missed it, my understanding the 19 Fit has Auto Highbeams? But I got my 18 EXL in April, but if that’s the only change, not big deal.
What are the interior differences from the ex and sport? Excellent review by the way.
red trim around the seats, steering wheel, and shift knob. and it only comes in a manual.
I was in a car crash and my truck rolled so I got my Honda Fit ex yesterday🥰 in love
Glad you are alright. Congrats on the new Fit! Thanks for watching!
thanks for the review
Did I miss the demonstration of operating the moon roof? Want to know if this car comes with a shade to cover the glass
To stop the sun from shining in? It has that.
Yep, he forgot to show that off. The button is up above that camera box.

Thank you both very much! The salesperson left mine open. So wasn’t sure it had that
Just got my 2019 EX-L today 🥰

What is the best “way” to purchase these? Finance? Good down payment? Etc...

My only regret is being afraid to buy the orange one, lol. Got Modern Steel.
I'm considering that color or yellow.
I have a yellow '19 EX and I love it! My previous one was an orange '07 Sport Fit. Both great cars.
Does the car beep when backing up?
I have a 2019 ex and love it! So if the orange light is on (with the breaking asset) it means it off or on?
If you see that it says brake in red in the dash it is on.
Very helpful ! Thanks!
Whats the audio system in the fit ?
any difference between the 2018 and 2019 model?
There is not to my knowledge.
Auto high beams, maybe?
Does the ACC stops your car an go in traffic automatically?
Wow what a great amazing tutorial I'm definitely getting this vehicle in 2019 thanks...
✌...

this version de honda link , have maps ?
I think your speaking speed is fine, by the way.
Does the radio play music from a USB DRIVE???
