Just found out about this place thanks to your video! The crazy part is, I live 10 mins away and didn't even know it exists. Went there yesterday and had fun. Awesome workout!
I was amazed when I went there. It is a really well thought out and planned park. Your stoked to live so close 🤙 I'm glad I could help show it off a little bit.
It's a really great free community park to ride. Lots of stuff for everyone. Plus there's some extra stuff built in the hills all around it now. Definitely check it out when you have the time.
It's definitely worth checking out. It's an hour and a half north for me to drive and I'm looking forward to driving back up again soon. It's a rad place to ride 😎
Awesome very informative video my friend! Im originally from SoCal, been living in Colorado for past 15 yrs., pretty spoiled now as far as trails go. Still have family in Palmdale, definitely gonna hit this up next time im back! So stoked to see cities putting money into mtn biking!!! 🤟keep pedalin
Its a really nice facility. I haven't been there since I shot this a year ago but I've heard there have been lots of upgrades and updates since then. I'm hoping to go back and see the changes soon. If your back in town remember to bring your bike with you 😁
@@MTBMixster that's an awesome offer dude and if the time ever comes I will absolutely take you up on that offer! Thank you. Got you subbed here. You on Instagram?
Thanks for the tip. Next time I make it up there I'll make sure to check it out. I know there has been some pretty rad trails recently built just above the park I need to try soon.
Diggin the pre-ride, re-ride, free-ride motto and since you have the dirt jumper you should hit up Sapwi bike park in Thousand Oaks next time you’re out this way. Been meaning to get out there myself!
I talked with a guy while I was at SCV and he definitely talked up Sapwi. Im looking to get up there and try it out soon after hearing how much he liked it.
There is also another bike park called Sapwi near Moorpark. How does that compare. I'd love to go on real trails, but I'm really scared bc of wildlife. Do you have any recommendations that are well traveled?
Thanks 🙏 I had a great time checking out the park and putting the video together. Im going to have to go back again soon, I heard there have been a few updates😁
@@MTBMixster i was just there this morning and had a lot of fun. Only problem is the trails seem to end right when you feel like you warmed up to them. Im definitely excited to see what they end up adding here!
Hey idk if you get this question alot, but do you know If you can bring RC cars here? I would love to bring my x maxx, there's like no public places near me to use it, this looks like a perfect place to bring it!
Unfortunately I don't believe the park is RC friendly. It would be a great place to do it for sure. Double check their website in the description for updated info.
@@MTBMixster so it says on website these are the things prohibited: 1. Motorized bikes of any kind 2. Alcoholic beverages, smoking, and drug use 3. Operation of remote-controlled, motorized, or self-propelled aircraft 4. Animals in the Bike Park 5. Vandalism of any form, including graffti and stickers 6. Parking and overnight camping
Yes. He may not be suited for some parts but the majority of the park is built for anyone of any age. Bike size or style shouldn't make much of a difference as long as they are confidently able to ride it. Have fun, it's a great park.
Place is not that good now. No one maintains the track and the mtb trails. I went there and it’s super rocky and rain rutted. I prefer not to go here if it’s not maintained. You will regret it.
Thats a bummer to hear. I really liked that park when I first visited it. It had so much cool stuff and even more potential to grow. Hopefully it gets some work and some love. The people in the area are very lucky to have a park that size dedicated to bikes near their homes.

Literally just found out about it today and can't believe I live down the street and didn't know it has been there for almost a year now
how much did it cost?
It's 100% free. It was built by the city.
Thanks for the tour of this place, love the motto pre ride re ride free ride, it's going in my personal MTB handbook 1st page.
That motto has helped me from getting hurt more than once out riding 🤙🏻
Love it! Will have to make the trip up there with my bike Billy the burro and get some trail time in!

Definitely hit this place up when your back here 🤙🏻
Great vid bro! I’m planning to hit up this place tomorrow.
Your gonna love it. We had a blast 🤙🏻
i used to live in SCV now im jealous this is here because if i want to go here i have to travel cross the country

If you ever find yourself in southern California I would be happy to show you around 🤙🏻

Just a personal account thats pretty boring. I do have a facebook page by the same name. You can follow and reach me easily there.
TNX , I had no idea that place even existed. 🍺
I just discovered this myself. Have you been? I wonder what it looks like now, this video is a few years old.
If you go in that concrete area by the end of the red train There’s a little lip on the ridge, you can get some pretty good air off it.

@@MTBMixster oh yeah, there’s one going down to the parking lot area, take it slow at first tho I almost ate it my first run, it gets pretty steep

Great Video, will definitely have to check it out.
Its an awesome place to practice almost any skill you want to improve on. Definitely recomend checking it out sometime 👍🏻
Good riding. We're hitting Santiago Oaks tomorrow and having a BBQ afterwards. Join us
Id be there if I was in the state. Ill be back next week. Im filming in Utah for a few days 😁
@@MTBMixster we'll probably hit Greer Ranch next week. I'll hit you up
Please do, Im still waiting to get out to Greer!!
Thanks for the ride through
No problem 😊

@@MTBMixster alright so nevermind I read into it more and it says nothing else can be brought except peddle bikes so nvm about all this :/
I'd see if there are any local rc groups on Facebook. I'd bet they would have a lot of info for you.
Awesome
THANKS!
Wow looks pretty koo
The thing to do is climb up the hills behind this bike park, up to Golden Valley Rd, for much longer downhills.
Thanks for the tip. I figured there had to be more "trails" around the area. Ill be sure to check them out next time Im there 🤙🏻
@@MTBMixster Just rode out there today, did 3 trips to the top and back down, 1800 feet of climbing total. Various downhills take about 4-5 minutes.
Now thats what Im talking about 👊
If I take my son, is he OK to use a regular bike?
Yes. He may not be suited for some parts but the majority of the park is built for anyone of any age. Bike size or style shouldn't make much of a difference as long as they are confidently able to ride it. Have fun, it's a great park.
super
Nice
Thanks
The perception of seeing the jumps on these plain brown trails makes it tough to make out where these jumps are coming up
I know. I'm hoping to go back up and film again there soon.
good tip: preride, reride, freeride
It's the best habit to have when trying out a new place. Its easy to get too excited and run out of talent.
@@MTBMixster true, first time i went to big bear i went to fast a scraped my arm
The bike park is the easiest place to have that happen. Hope it didn't slow you down too much that day.
@@MTBMixster yup, good video btw
Thanks 🙏
get some air buddy!
It definitely needs a jump line
Hopefully in a future update
@@MTBMixster if they do I’m willing to dig, idk how to contact the city to ask for a jump line but if they do that would be sick
I would check the bike parks webpage and contact every email listed. Im sure they would love to have the extra help.
@@MTBMixster I would be sooo sick build a flowy jump lines, a small line to build confidence and a big one to throw steeze and tricks
Id be happy to come up and spend a weekend helping dig. Let me know if you have any luck getting in touch with someone at the city.
