I made this the other day, and I must say, it was BEYOND AMAZING!!!! I was fresh out of worschester sauce, (and i don't really like the taste either) and I used fresh onion. SO FRICKIN EASY!!! I got so many compliments, and them meatballs were GONE in 9 minutes! THANKS CHEF JOHN! THIS RECIPIE'S A KEEPER!
Thanks for making me look like an awesome cook in front my gf's family. they loved this dish and it ran out faster then all the other apps. Great work!!
Your recipes are awesome, I’m definitely going to make this for Christmas dinner. My family does the potluck thing every year now at Christmas, my grandma used to do it all herself but we help her now, my job is cranberry sauce this year but I’m going to be extra and surprise them with these! Thanks for sharing
I made these for my family christmas get together and they came out great, everyone loved them. They were not overly sweet the way one might think from the marmalade and cranberry sauce, between the meat juices and the heat from the chiles combining with the sweet my nephew thought is was a barbeque sauce
i nearly spat out the tea i was drinking laughing at "ribbed for your pleasure"... the touching of that as a little creepy LOL chef john, you make my day!! xx
i tried (pre-made) turkey meatballs just last week. surprisingly good, and so close to beef after you put them in sauce, you'll hardly taste the difference. you'll also be interested to know that i'm typing this without any pants on. good day, everyone.
Sheff john, you've inspired me :) im only 14 and have made a bunch of my own recipes :D i just wanted to say thanks :) and btw i really liked your union rings :)
How would you change this to do in crockpot after cooking the meatballs? That way they stay hot-don't have another way to keep them hot...love your videos!
I just made these, I loved the ribbed for pleasure part, ha ha. Yeah after watching and looking this up I subscribed to your video. I really like the editing, quick, I can go back and watch again while I make them. I'm using meat though instead of the Turkey you recommended. I also chopped my own onions and garlic. So far they have came out great. Thank you for the video, my party is in a few hours!!!
Is this something you can make the night before and stick in the fridge? Or should I just prep the raw meat the night before and then cook everything the day of?
I happen to like the canned "cranberry sauce". I know technically it's not a sauce at all, but I do prefer it on sandwiches w/ left over turkey or meatloaf as apposed to the "real" cranberry sauce w/ the chunks of cranberries MAINLY b/c it holds up better. It doesn't make the lovely roll soggy or the turkey/meatloaf moist to the point it's disintegrating. Stop being prejudice Chef John. Give the canned jellied "cranberry sauce" a break! lol.
too good @2:44 ... very nice receipe, only 2 remarks: - afaik, turkeys are directly descending from dinosaurs - means, they are kinda dinosaurs KIDS! - what about simply deep frying the balls, I mean the turkeyballs I? At least the shape should remain more ball-type - now the result is more cube-type ...
My mother ALWAYS cracks her eggs in a separate bowl. It comes from when she was little and would get fresh eggs and every once in a while a baby half-chicken would pop out instead of an egg. Cracks me up when I see her still do that! (see what I did there with the pun?)
im eating a ring pop I got in my halloween candy and although I love the cuteness of the ring, its sweetness is suddenly lame compared to the sexy food were seeing here.

@txsphere - I really like the jellied can stuff, but I always smush it around so you don't have to look at the can shape.

@juffurey I like using tofu in meatballs... silky soft tofu works best imho (or the softest that can be bought where you live)

Is this something you can make the night before and stick in the fridge? Or should I just prep the raw meat the night before and then cook everything the day of?

yummy
Why don't you have your own show, you are freakin hilarious!!
Lol i loved this video!
makin' me hungry
@xLeoTony Go for sweet stuff, like cake. Those are pretty easy :)
Actually, most of his recipes are pretty easy :)
I brown meatballs like cubes... 4 sides and a top plus bottom. Just seems natural
Lmaoooo the' picture of Barney & Friends at the end! This is why you're my favorite on TH-cam.
you are the most amusing thing ever! i very much appreciate your [some might say corny] jokes =D
Can you do a honey glazed chicken wings receipe?
yummy!
Dinosours! :D ........hahaha! I shall try this recipe! thx !
did you ever win the food network thing?
What are you going to do with the other half of the can?
How do you cook pork chops
could i add some minced pork without it changing flavour too much?
(fat is flavour/moisture theory?)
Finally, I will know what Barney would taste like. (that sounded less weird in my head lol)
Does anyone else get all giddy with anticipation whenever he says "wiiith"?
"if you wanna be all.. you know.. martha stewart..."
hahaha!
lol most of the people that eat these are going to be pretty drunk, ah Chef John you never disappoint

LMAO... Why did I start cracking up laughing when I saw a picture of Barney!!!
Can you Use beef With this recipe? or pork ?
too good @2:44 ...

Dats how i roll joke lol loved it hahaha
If you can, use chopsticks. The ultimate tool for turning things quickly and accurately - even on a barbecue!
have you ever tried using tofu instead of bread crumbs? my mom does that sometimes and it turns out pretty well
if i don't have turkey can i just use elk meat?
Barney! yum
