Hi there! After watching the video, I noticed that all the tornadoes Insym saw looked to always start in the same kind of generic rope tornado. Are there any other shapes of tornadoes, like wedges or multi-vortex? Either way, the game still looks sick and I can't wait to see more of it:)
My brother was driving from Odessa to San Antonio a couple months back and started to notice a bunch of trucks and cars with strange gear on them and it suddenly hit him "those are stormchasers... fuck, I'm in the place the stormchasers are coming to."
Insym in Storm Chasers: “Oh wow, this picture is so cinematic. Look at it. It’s beautiful!” Insym in Phasmo: “I took 10 photos of this pile of salt on the carpet and got $100”
As someone who has lived in "tornado alley" my entire life I cannot believe you saw a tornado while here on vacation. I have never seen a tornado. I live just a few hours from Joplin, MO where a huge tornado happened. I remember watching one of the storm chasers live one time and seeing them drive thru my town. That was a little too close for comfort.
I live in NC, and I've witnessed a couple. A few years ago, one went through the tree line a couple of hundred yards behind my home, knocking down a handful of pine trees, and rolled an rv into a field. The other, much scarier one, was back in 2011. I was in Raleigh visiting relatives, when a 3/4 mile wide ef3 came dangerously close to tracking right into the downtown area. Luckily/miraculously, the tornado weakened and lifted before making it into downtown Raleigh.
I bought this game during your stream and I have to say I’m in love! It scratches that itch for a modern storm chasing game and I love how they implemented actual scientific data and radar products while also giving a brief rundown on how they work! I will say that I wish there were private servers and multiplayer is borderline impossible without a god computer and barely playable with one. I definitely want to see more!
The moment I watched your live stream and heard you were you going to play OUTBRK, the next day I chose to stay up past 3am my time just to hang out and watch you live stream this. I know how much you love driving, rain and storms, so imho this was right up your alley. I laughed hard at the thunking of hail lol. I am so excited for the future of this game and I am wondering what the devs will add. Thank you so much Insym, you played so well and made my day 😃 Oh, I also bought the game!!
11:39 as a belgian that is the most accurate thing I have heard. Our roads are complete ass 😂 You'd be shocked if the pothole even got filled in, usually it just stays there for years upon end lmfao
I grew up in Michigan where everyone always joked “if you don’t like the weather here just wait 5 minutes” but as I’ve gotten older I realize almost every state makes that same joke about themselves. Lol. US weather is nuts sometimes.
Speaking out of experience and living in rural netherlands i can confirm there are alot of spots that do not provide service, barely any phone signal and forget about 5g.
I definitely gotta play this. This is my kinda game, going after storms. I'm a weather nerd, and thanks to the movie Twister is what got me into it. I did plan to go to college to do this sort of thing, but didnt have the funds.
Right now play alone or with close friends. The game in its current state has a set amount of events that can happen in specific locations, leaving public lobbies full of those that have memorized everything, ultimately killing the fun of the game.
the visible part of the tornado is called the condensation funnel. even though it may appear as though the condensation funnel is not touching the ground, you can still tell when a tornado is touching ground because you can see it kicking up dirt and dust on the ground level.
I can't wait for the full release of this. I hope they fix the performance issues and I'm excited to see the different upgrades and such. I would play the shit out of this. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a storm chaser. I still regularly watch chasers on YT.
The Dominator belongs to Reed Timmer. He got it back in working order 2-3 years ago, and has been using it again to chase with. Highly recommend checking out his youtube channel; there are multiple videos of him and his crew riding out tornadoes in it over the past couple of years.
This looks promising, can you imagine challenges being inserted and a randomiser so an F5 could hit at any time, even team play, or competition with other storm chasers for the best shot, and even seeing other teams get into trouble or a survival mode, really this game has so so much potential
Some do it for thrill seeking, others do it to help further the understanding of tornadic systems. It's like with any job, profession, hobby or past time, it takes all kinds my dude.
Bought it after your live stream and I love it! Just a heads up, most of the car upgrades at this point are cosmetic. The only one that has a meaningful impact at this point is the hail cage. The devs have stated they plan to implement uses for the others but just wanted to let you know:)
I honestly had the best time in the live stream, this game is sooo good, and of course Insym made it even better! I can't wait for him to play this again.
although you can usually tell generally which direction a tornado is heading, the path of the tornado itself can still swerve and turn and that makes it difficult to predict exactly where a tornado is going to go. probing a tornado might just be one of the hardest things you can do because you never know if the tornado is going to hit your probe or not. it very easily could miss the probe.
Not only does storm chasing offer weather data, but you can also make a tourism business out of it. People literally pay to ride along for a week or 2 chasing tornadoes.
nothing like working on art, not looking at the screen and just hearing insym yell "PROBE!!!!!!! PROBE ME!!!!!!!" over and over again LOL i was like WHA T
⚠️⚠️ Europe does get tornadoes every year, including the Netherlands! ⚠️⚠️ I haven't seen any myself, but I've experienced what I suppose is a possible tornado after effect- it rained tiny frozen fish. Guessing they got sucked up into the atmosphere and they froze. So while ours are less severe than in the US, people do occasionally die

Yeah service can be really bad but in the last 10 years is has gotten so much better back in the day here in Colorado if you left town tord the west you would say Goodbye to your phone until you get off the mountain, But now if you get close to any town they have service and some places up high. But if your in a Valley well unless that place has a tower your not getting any service we have way to much Granite in Colorado! Also Major value chasing storms, between making videos and selling photos to places like the news and maybe even getting hired to chase certain storms for news companies I have seen that also, but I bet there are many other ways to make money through research also! If you want to see a interesting Tornado trail google Tornado paths and it will show all tornadoes and their trails and there is a 1966 EF4 in Florida that went from the east coast to the Gulf which just blows my brain 100+ miles it traveled. This map also shows you were not to live in the US!
In the Us we know so much about storms and Tornadoes because we are the #1 most hit by those types of clouds, storms and Tornadoes we are or were taught about every type of cloud in Jr. high and did safety drills many many times just in case a Tornado touched down. Then as anyone with a risk even small as is of a tornado hitting your house or hail you learn what to lookout for because being ready and prepared can saves your life and your families life's as well. Also hail damage sucks!
We just had an underground concrete storm shelter installed a few days ago We had our first intense storm in our new mobile home this past April and decided it was time to pull the trigger on one. It’s quite the horrible feeling being stuck in a mobile home when you can feel it moving in the 80 mile an hour gusts and there is nothing you can do about it. Now there is a huge mess of dirt and rocks that I have to clean up in my yard.
Can confirm that there are many places out in the plains where you can go fully off-grid if you wanted to. The USA just has tons of land. In most states you only have a to go outside of the major cities a few miles to get wilderness.
Fun and unique game! Very realistic for someone who's a weather enthusiast who reads radars whenever storms are on the horizon in my area. Hope you play this one again soon! 🙏🏽
It’s really interesting as a resident of the Midwestern US to see all the photos Insym was shocked weren’t valuable, and I’m just like “it’s just rain man.” lmao
If you ever do play this game again, I’d highly suggest learning how to read basic weather radars! It could be very useful for this game, since it honestly looks like a useful training tool for storm chasers!
love this game so far this game look so cool and amazing, the mother nature are the scaredy thing on this planet love to see you playing storm chaser Insym hope more of this game
My final thesis in school was about hurricanes and tornadoes. And what I learned about those things is, that every disaster film is getting them wrong.
this looks like a game version of the film twisters released not long ago at all. saw it in cinema and when i saw the menu for this game it looked identical 😂

I'll use KM since it might make more sense to someone from the EU. The US is 9,840,000 square kilometers, and the Netherlands is 41,545 square kilometers. You're gonna find some empty spaces in the US lol
The MLCAPE map in the advanced menu will tell you how much potential energy the atmosphere has. The higher the potential energy, the more likely intense thunderstorms and supercells will form.

Hopefully they add the ability for the sky to turn green under certain conditions. That's how I know when it might be time to take shelter.
Yes! When you look outside and it’s green and strangely quiet you know what’s coming, it’s always strangely beautiful
