Maya Holt honestly same though. One day he's a wizard. Then he's a lover (in the movie "What If") then he guess stars on Good Mythical Morning, then on Broadway like omg what a talent!!!!!!
Of course this had to happen, people are remembered for the roles that made them famous or were the most successful movies they starred in. If I say "Elijah Wood" everyone will automatically think of his all encompassing, super famous role as the psychopath in Sin City, for example.
Kudos to Daniel Radcliffe for learning and doing ALL the choreography in this role. A lot of Hollywood actors who do Broadway just fake their way through the dance numbers by doing a few steps and then standing back while the professional dancers do all the difficult moves, but he went all in and did a terrific job. And he never missed a single performance during the whole run of the show - another thing that very few Hollywood actors even try to accomplish when they do Broadway (most get exhausted by the 8-show-a-week schedule and start calling in 'sick' for a few shows every week). Very professional of him.
Look at John Laroquette at around 2:41, it looks like one if the dancers is guiding him. Some people have it and some not as well. I'm not saying that to be snarky. Lord knows I couldn't do it and i respect the man for getting up there and
regardless he still had a lot of moves that were done soley but himself and noone else. That shit takes skill . I'd probably kill myself just by trying.
can't believe how much he pushed and dedicated himself for this show. you're going up and dancing with people half a foot taller than you, need a lot of stamina to keep up, it's honest just a fact. he's INCREDIBLE
@uknow who If you think that's what all actors do for their parts, you'd be wrong. It's well known that Daniel Radcliffe puts in an unusual amount of preparation for his roles.
I was most impressed with his dancing. He was leading a company of ppl who have been training in dance likely since they were kids. It's astounding that he could move like that. And to do it 8 shows a week when you're body has not been accustomed to daily dance is very impressive.
His American 'accent' is very well done (remember - he's British!), in addition to his singing and dancing. The mission and goal of an actor is not to portray the same character throughout their entire career, but to continually learn new skills, try new genres, expand their options - and not many of them can go from the "big screen" to Broadway as well as this guy. Daniel Radcliff is amazing! ... Side note: the guy introducing the performance is Robert Morse, the actor who portrayed J. Pierpont Finch in the 1967 movie, along with Matthew Broderick (Ferris Bueller) who played Finch in the 1995 revival of the show on Broadway.
Fun fact - at least in the movie, Harry didn't even train for the Yule Ball. He sat the Gryffindor training seminar out because of his dragon injuries.
I saw this when Dan was the lead back in 2011. I was so surprised! It was fairly new back then and I knew so little about the story and songs. I was a great show! He did look a little tired at times, like he couldn't keep up with the cast, but he was awesome all the same! I think I was more shocked so see him dance so well and so much!
I was in NYC both times Dan Radcliffe was starring in a Broadway play. I saw him in Equus in 2008, but didn't see this one. I did, however, get to see the Harry Potter exhibition there in 2011. :)

he started as a child in theater, so.
