Hello and welcome once again everyone, Finally I manage to get a video up on the Odin with a concealment build. I had to chop and change my plans a bit with this one to include a very nice game from stream recently with the updated sound engine after earlier plans to use another match. I've included the full build as usual, let me know in the comments what you think and until the next time keep sailing it like you stole it o7
I got my ODIN and play her with the two builds. I like the fun secondary build and prefer it. The concealment build is close to your captain guild. The only difference is that I use "High Alert" instead of "Expert Marksman" with my concealment / survive buil. Ihave seen this game live and I really like the interaction with the audience. It is okay that you are not always able to talk to us / answer questions chat is asking. I will try to be more often on twitch. TH-cam videos are really good and due to your interaction and all the explanations they have a lot of information. The Battleships chasing you have been broadside to your whole team BUT the team was not able to do really good damage to them .... With minute 15:30 minute the positions turned and you was able to flank them. Well played Sir! Sadly the KRAKN was denied .... All the best Sir!
I came across you (Carbine) in a guide on how to DD in Pan Asia Yesterday .Along with getting great advice and video content I get a lesson in Humility and Good Sportsmanship, instant SUBSCRIBE . Awesome video! I myself use a mixed concealment-secondary build which I find to be the perfect balance for my style of playing the ship. Carbine you are revealing the inner you in this video, lol. Glad I have company in feeling the frustration at the low level of play with some teammates - from the Martel sailing into half the red fleet, to the Bismark so close to your side making it impossible to angle, to the CV who is asleep at the wheel etc. I am still grinding to the Odin which I suspect I will like, and this is the build I will likely prefer. Nice video and result.
Nice Video CC. Im pretty happy with the Odin, great alternative to Tirpitz. Wish the HP wasnt nerfed. I think the only german bb that i have that went the Tank / Concealment build was the Scharnhorst. I feel some of the strengths of the german line are wasted if not taken advantage of like he pen, turtleback and secondary range. Agir too has the Tank / Concealment build.
I love the Odin's flexibility, not many battleships can be played effectively in a concealment/kiting or secondary role but Odin can pull it off either way. It's a fun ship which ever way you go.
Great game, but I prefer the secondary build. There were a few moments in this game with enemy ships sitting at 11.7km, and I cant help thinking with a little extra on those secondaries you wouldn't have had your Kraken robbed. Excellent commentary as always Carbine
I also have an issue with the CV's, especially if you are in a DD. I was in a late night game, there were two CVs and only 5 or 6 ships of various sizes. Talk about being an out of balance game, yet WOW's don't want give most ships more AA, even the ones that were on paper but never really sailed or WOW's just made up from their imagination. Either they need to take some power away from the CV's or give dd's and cruisers way more deck armor and AA. As a long time subscriber, you still had a really great game, right up on top the leader board.... I don't run BB's because I don't have the patience waiting for them to load, but if I did play BB's I'd probably have a much better score. But I'd rather have fun, so I stick with cruisers and dd's. Wishing you smooth sailing, and thumbs up on your video.

Your CV was just playing his own little game no team play at all. Loving my secondary spec Odin although it seems to be made out of wood with the amount of fires constantly being set on it
don't get me wrong, being a sneaky BB seems fun, but at the start of the video, I could FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL the salt from you while you talked about CV's XD . Do not worry my friend, I am also a salty mf when it comes to CV's, you should add a line in the description that says "fuck CV's" :P
I do get what happened to that CV :-) 1. you really dont want to sent your planes, where is bigger formation of red ships, you ll lose all of them... 2. autopilot in this game is totally insane stupid... I lost many CVs because of it .. lol ... I think that ppl really dont get it as nobody uses this feature but CVs ... 3. you really dont have time to pay much attention to chat... well minimap or Fkeys is other thing for sure...
Mh, yeah... It's annoying when people do not realize that sailing glued to the side of one of their team mates will just impede any manoeuvre they will attempt. Sometimes this game requires patience. Sometimes however you just find yourself screaming alone in your room at the monitor of your pc, whose only fault is to be there doing its job and showing you such marvelous player behaviour.

Nicely played.
"I seem to be firing blanks" - that's how I often feel. And the enemy seem to have laser guided shells.
I was going to say the same thing - I find the Odin very underwhelming.
