Hi! My name is Christopher Odd and I’ve been playing video games on the internet for a few years. I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Dragon Age, etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games too!

My tip is that if you are going to cause a wave to happen (by moving the crystal bot in any way or doing research) and the danger meter is increasing and about to spawn a timed wave, move the crystal bot or do the research right away, which will cause a wave to occur. This doesn't overlap with a timed wave and after your "induced" wave is done, the danger meter will back to "safe" (from my experience if the meter says "safe," the timed wave clock hasn't started, meaning you can go take a bio brake without even pausing). However, if a timed wave goes off and the game says "incoming wave" and then you move the bot or do research the game will say "wave reinforced," which is bad. Keep it up. Love this series.
That's some awesome advice!
Some tips:
-Turrets have three tiers and each upgrade is huge.
-Unlike generators they respawn after every wave even if they get overwhelmed but if they get disabled during a wave they will lose all the experience they get just like glossary mentioned.
-You want to keep them alive during the wave because it will let you upgrade them +1 one tier with "shove to upgrade prompt".
-You can check if turret is upgradable by looking if it's golden color on a minimap.
-What researching higher turret tier does is it it lets you build upgraded turret right away instead of waiting for it to earn XP. It is really important because on higher floors they will not last a second if not upgraded or guarded by a player.
-The game is pretty much turret defense with extra steps so funneling enemies through the gauntlet is the way to go. If you open to many paths you will get overwhelmed.
-Plan ahead otherwise if you spend to much resources on one floor you won't be able to build up on the next.
-I don't think I've seen you do this but each player can have two weapons, you can use scroll to change weapons.
so how about...instead of sleeping and eating, you guys just beat the game over the next few days straight and post it up...cause this is entertaining af. XD

16:25 dunno if im commenting too early but was playing earlier today and the turrets the _can_ be upgraded show as gold instead of white on the minimap. pretty sure youve already figured this out though!

There is a passive timer for waves, and opening doors greatly increases the chance of waves spawning aka reducing time between waves.
Above the mini map there is a danger meter it turns red right before a wave spawns.
from my 1 game so far, you can do research when a wave is spawned and it will finish during that wave, instead of like finishing the wave before you do a research and triggering another one.
you are right, gold ones on the minimap are waiting to be shoved and upgraded
also the elemental power of the enemies when you walk up to the spawner is the damage type they deal but it also the damage type they are resistant to as well

Best entertainment on the interwebs right now. I'm bummed that this looks like they took Dungeon of the Endless in a multiplayer direction, but it allowed this classy AF playthrough, so that's win.
On console the monsters attack the research is well so you have to defend that also when you activate a research lol seems much easier on pc

What's with all these mobilee-eque top down games on this channel? You used to be a decent channel, played all the decent new releases , but now only just play these kind of stuff that ive never heard of. The last decent game on this channel was god of war and baldurs gate. these other things are really boring to watch. They're all the same

"Used to be"? He played baldurs gate literally just a couple of weeks ago, stop whining like a baby and go watch someone else play if you don't like these games. I like variety and that's what Chris brings.
