While 1:9 threads are the best way to go most players do not have access to one and many do not know they exsist. So for many being sniped is actually a benefit, particularly if the sniper has a high level ARC and can put on much more than the stated reward.
I just joined a guild and get so confused immediately for csf(still no ideo what it is) 1.9.... Luckily i found this video so that i can understand a bit more what they are doing.
1.9 is super confusing for most players, and as the creator says, it's best to learn it by doing it. ask your guildies for help the first few times you use the 1.9 - it may take a while to sink in but worth it. you will save thousands and thousands of fp
you probably need to watch a few minutes at a time pause the video and let that bit of info sink in before moving on to the next part, or watch it a few times like tying shoelaces it really isn't difficult...... (shoe laces are a challenge for most but easy once they know how)
I'm still trying to get me head around this. My Arc is now level 9 If I put my arc up for a 1.9 thread (where others with level 80+ Arcs would place their FP's to gain 'spots'), then to get my Arc to level 10, it would cost me 608 FP and others will put in a total of 362 When I compare that with normal swap thread trading, Arguably I would have to effectively put in the whole 970 FP's (but others in each thread I add to would be putting the same amount on my Arc) and I would highly likely get MORE than half that back if FP position rewards! So why does everyone say the 1.9 option is more profitable? Am I missing something?
It's not as big of a difference at lower levels. But at high levels, it makes a massive difference. Swap threads aren't as reliable, so those rewards you **might** get can't be assured.
Each GB has a sweet spot level range. You need to find out what that range is for each GB and NOT put them into the 1.9 until they come into that range, preferably put it in the 1.9 at the very first level of the sweet spot range so you can maximize the value of the thread.
You can (and want to) use a 1.9 even if you don't have an Arc. Just post your spots! You only need a level 80 Arc to be taking spots on other players' GB for "free." However, you can still take lower spots (P4 or P5), often for under 30 FP and still pick up some of the blueprints you may need, for cheap.
thanks for the explanation, one thing im wondering is what happens if a random player preemptively adds a random amount of points? doesnt that mess with the calculations for locking the spots? thanks
It does, a little bit. You have to do a bit more math then. Good news is that tools like foe.tools lets you include FP other players have placed on your building and it'll handle the math.
Usually my guild starts with the higher threads for guild GB only until we get more higher level arcs, and then open it up later. Profit pay is hard because you can't correctly prime for each spot l, so it can leave you open to sniping
@@UBERnerd14 Thanks. My concern is fresh lv 80 arcs will be excluded and won't get BPs easily, the same way I did. Even if everyone has lv80+ now, in the future the guild might get new members who don't. Whereas lv80 is a goal most can reach, beyond that, it's moving the needle on and on
You could, but you will be spending FP instead of getting what you spend back. It's still a good way to get the more Arc blueprints to eventually get it to Level 80 though - try to take the fourth/fifth spots on some Arcs!
yes, and it's a great way to make sure you get a return - you can't be sniped. if you have a lower level arc, take slots while you're collecting. that way you don't have to use the fp in your bank
Generally you want to do them individually (but P1 and P2 usually take the same amount to prime). The reason is that if you pay all the FP you need to lock all spots on, it means that the first few spots (P1 and P2 especially) can be sniped, or taken with fewer forge points than 1.9, allowing the sniper to make profit (and you having to pay more). I'm working on an updated version of this video though that goes a bit more in depth on that :)
@@UBERnerd14 thanks for the reply. Is there a way to rectify if some player comes, for example, and pays more than the required fps for P3 after, say, positions 1 and 2 have been contributed to and locked?
so - my guild members and friends who put the FP's on my GB are getting great rewards - it helps me as I am not piling FP's in to my GB, but that is all, yeah? I also need to contribute to lower spots so I can get the BP's in order to progress. But what is this 'sweet spot' with Arc - by about level 40? I seem to be putting fewer and fewer FP's on!
From 2:51 to 2:57 you lost me totally, you named off like 3 critical steps and flicked images briefly on the screen then blew on to other stuff. I wish you could at least say 'lock in the 1st spot, it looks like this...' (show image for more than 0.2 seconds), then post your GB by using the format your name, the gb, and the 5 spots with the amount to be posted in parentheses, and if your name is Bud and the GB is Alcatraz, it looks like this... (show image of the exact above so I have an example to go by, and show it for more than 0.2 seconds!!!), then other players will begin claiming spots (you haven't explained in practical terms what this looks like, so explain... and give a graphic example, again for long enough at least for me to freeze the video and take it in.) Thanks, I personally wish you would not go at breakneck speed as if we all already know the arcane terminology, and be more kind. Try and remember how desperately lost we newbies are, and how desperate to understand! :)

It makes sense when u already know how it works 😂
In our guild we have a 1.95. My arc is flying up each week, its past level 95 atm and can go to 111 soo far :D
That's awesome! It's a grind to get Arcs up that high but it's so nice once they are!
now see back in my day we didn't have no fancy button dodad we had to math out our gb for 1.9 swaps for 5 minutes just to get one gb done
I don’t get it why the numbers 1 and 2 have to pay less fp than the other places
They don't, they pay more. Do you mean the cost to lock the spot (what the owner pays)?
@@UBERnerd14o ok thanks

So a 1.9 thread is only useful for players with a Level 80 Arc? Or where does the Arc come into play? Should I just use Swaps until I build my Arc?

Moving on from 1.9 base, should 1.92, 1.93.... threads be: restricted? unrestricted? non existent past 1.9? or a no profit (pay what your arc gives) ?
Usually my guild starts with the higher threads for guild GB only until we get more higher level arcs, and then open it up later.

And is there a consequence to that?

If that happens, usually it's courteous to reach out and offer to pay them back.
@@UBERnerd14 got it and thank you for the video. I finally understand 1.9 threads
What is the total the owner pays to lock all the spot? is it just the 928?
Yes.

The sweet spot is a result of the FP rewards increasing faster than the level cost, so it gets much cheaper for you to level.
we all know that one person who NEVER PRIMES
