A great song from a great album. This is one version of Surrounded played live. I still remember my first listen of it, it made a great song superb. th-cam.com/video/C3HxncSh6Os/w-d-xo.html
This is a badass album y’all. I saw it played in it’s entirety in Austin a few years ago. It was exhilarating guys….this album & Train of Thought are my favorites by Dream Theater….some days I’ll have Images & Words as my number one…others I’ll be voting for Train of Thought….it’s definitely their heaviest album. Try reacting to “Honor Thy Father” off that album….very deep song 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🕺🏼
DT is my favorite band since 1992 still. Can't pick 1 favorite album or song. Impossible. One of my favorite Jams is Bombay Vindaloo. A non album track.
I love this album. It has a special place in my heart because it gave me hope that that complex yet inspirational music could exist inspite of the dogma of mainstream format. I think she'll love The Best of Times even though it's very long being that it is so inspirational.
This band "flew under the radar" for me. I don't think the rock radio station gave these guys any airplay. Listening to this for the first time, I can see why you like them. The problem for me is that I don't have any memories to connect to the song. 😎
I lived in the mid west at the time. Heard them on the radio for a few weeks. Never heard anything by them on the radio since then, but maybe I missed it. Guess I was in the right place at the right time lol Having memories to connect to the song does help. Super cool it's your first listen 😎
I absorb all they put out and just never forget it. Can't count how many times i heard and played along on the air drums and real drums, to Images & Words. Got everything they ever did.
Yeah, Images and Words is probably my favorite because I wore it out listening to it. Air drums are my favorite instrument now lol so easy to set up and just play

People ask what is your favorite song ever, this was it for a long time. Now it is Change of Seasons by Dream Theater❤
And all started with Innocence Faded
good picks. chapter 5 (the vocal section) of change of seasons is one of my favorite moments in all music.
When it finally breaks open Petrucci plays my favorite guitar riff of all time.
It's incredibly simple but absolutely perfect for the track
Distance Over Time by Dream Theater has several shorter songs that are powerful yet catchy.
Easily their best album in recent years. We'll see if they can top it now that Mike Portnoy is back.

Very cool. They sound very good live as well. I will check out Train of Thought at some point, not sure if I have heard anything off that.
@@TheOldFux it’s a heavier album no doubt
I was at that Austin show. It was fantastic!!
@@alanalanis2257 yup. That Change of Seasons set was wild 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Hands down the best album, but Awake is a CLOSE second.

I heard Lie, Metropolis Part 1, and Caught In A Web on the radio.
I love every single song on this album. I'd say it is my favorite
This song is basically Styx on steroids.
1:31 OMG LOL One of my favorites growing up. Need another guitar string!!
Crambone
Its a desert island disc for me. I saw them live for this tour.
Awesome! Would have liked to see them back then. It's probably a desert island album for me as well 👍
I got to see this tour, the Awake tour, and many more after that. I met Dream Theater 3 times as well. They are very humble musicians.
im sorry...your impossible to watch......
it IS The GREATEST album. you gotta appreciate the pure talent of this music
Oh I do, but she does not lol
