Plenty of this is the fault of the riders. I have been a rider for many years in one of the worst trafficky areas on the planet with worst drivers, san francisco bay area. Watching these, there is alot of riders going way over the speedlimit, thru neighborhoods and all kinds of situations and then getting all huffy when someone backs out in front or cuts them off. People suck, but so do your expectations. You have to expect they will back out into you, or cut you off. When people check their mirror in their quiet neighborhood and back into the street and you appear there magically because you're driving double the speed limit, don't be surprised and whine about it. Use some common sense. Stay alive, in heavy traffic always pick your line running what if scenarios, what am I going to do when this dumbass merges me? Where am I going to escape? Don't ride in a car's blind spot, move thru it. If you use the roads as your playground you are accepting that objective danger, lots of variables that you cannot control. Do not be surprised when your aggressive riding freaks people out or surprises them. Stop whining and take responsibility for your actions....

When I'm going over the speed limit on my motorcycle it's my responsibility to avoid cars that wouldn't be cutting me off if I was not speeding.
It's pretty juvenile to expect everyone else to keep out of my way if I'm speeding.

Best life lesson my dad ever taught me - "Drive and ride like everyone is a complete moron" That single thing has kept me out of so many potential accidents i cant even count..
This is the one thing I heard & learned early, It is probably the reason I have been accident free for 28 years
My dad was Similar apart from he said “drive understanding that every really is as blind as a bat and as stubborn as a bull”.
I’ve had numerous crashes of my own fault low siding but never had any issues with other people’s poor judgment as I can always read everyone else’s poor judgement before it happens

You can definitely wire up a louder horn, anything electric can be added. But an actual airhorn may complicate things a bit, unless you're riding an air suspension bike 🤔🐜

Watched the first 5 minutes of this and with only maybe 1 exception, it was all overreaction on the biker's part. 90% was a lack of common courtesy to allow traffic to merge or enter traffic. And before you rant, I've been riding for over 40 years.
ok so i ride a bike myself.
So don't shoot me on that department but i watched a LOT of videos like this by Moto Madness and others and I think 70% of the (almost) collisions could have been prevented by the rider driving more defensively.
As a biker you should know you will be overlooked.
As a biker you should know you are a fragile participant in traffic
So as a biker you should alsways drive in defense mode.
Don't overtake on the right side as people won't expect that.
Don't fly over a crossing JUST BECAUSE you have green. (look what is near the crossing and make a judgement on what is best for you)
Than there is the part of destance to the care in front.
Suddenly overtaking with a big speed difference in heavy traffic areas and that even on the right while nearing a crossing.
That one always bugs me the most i guess.
Seeing riders overtaking someone on the right near a crossing or speeding through traffic on rediculous speeds and than blaming a driver coming from the right onto the road for not seeing them.
Even if people looked left, right and left again they couldn't have seen the rider come in.
As I said I drive my bike daily to work and I have seen so many times I COULD have been in almost the exact same situations as riders in these kinds of videos but because of my defensive riding I never had any trouble.
Of course sometimes you really can't do anything about it.
Just for a last example.
A person turns into your lane from a side road.
And than you come on and from a distance see him coming.
What do you do ?
a) keep your speed at the currently legal max speed?
b) go off the throttle and let the bike roll and make sure YOU are safe and than confront the driver (if you really want to)
c) slam the brakes, fall off your bike and blame it all on the driver as he is an big f*ing a**hole ?
You decide for yourself.
As far as I know you don't really need to do anything major to get your motorcycle licence in america so it's not really that weird that these things happen so much over there.
Almost all the videos from europe are mainly defense riders knowing what they are doing and how to safe their own skin in stead of just taking your rights on the road with no care of your own health

I feel like most riders forget about their own safety to disrespect others since others often don't respect them. Im a ciclist not a biker, and even having a specific lane for bicicles i find plenty of morons who just choose to chug themselves in front of you like they aren't walking into a vehicle lane, even though biciles were recently banned from sidewalks because they are considered vehicles (i really hate the Europe BS). With that said i never ran over anyone, but i'm kinda tired of people complanining that i'm suposedly doing something wrong when they literally pay more attention to the goddamn floor tile than they do to me, with or without a bike horn or however thoose things are called. In fact, if you do get one and you use it people choose to ignore you 90% of the time. I know im talking about pedestrians and not vehicles, but you get the point. I have had situations as ridiculous as:
Im going though the bike lane, and in front of me there is a crosswalk that crosses my lane with the traffic light green for vehicles. This random dude tries to cross in a red light, then sees the cars coming and stays between the bike lane and the regular lane, so i assume that he is going to stay there since he has more than enough space to not get run over along with a car parked near him. Nope, when im less than 10 meters away from him the fucker bolts back to the middle of my lane and i use the maximum force i know i can use from my brakes. The dude gets out of the way before i can stoo completely and then *complains that i should have dodged him*.
I deal with this type of bullshit way too often i swear.

+Brendan_636 I actually thought the same, but if you look closely at 2:45, you can see that the guy on the scooter was riding on a path for bicycles and scooters, and the police had the "Give Way" sign, so that means, the police broke the law by not giving way to the scooter and the scooter was legally on a road meant for Scooters and bikes.
First I thought the guy was just riding on a sidewalk, but then I saw the signs and the police actually broke the law, not the guy.

Bikers forget that they're riding a tiny vehicle and need to check for traffic. They forget it's the same size as a bicycle and think it's just as big as a car, but the only thing big is their ego.

Add me to the "these riders were not practicing defensive riding" list. Check out how many of those drivers are obscured by the A pillars of their cars. When the riders react negatively to being invisible it just screams "I've never driven a car around bikers."

Not necessarily the rider’s fault as it is the responsibility of the driver to check their blind spot, but certainly could be avoided if the rider passed decisively or backed off a bit

I've been riding for a week and seen worse than several of these in my first 100 miles on a bike. This stuff happens when you're in a car too, you kind of have to suck it up and expect it, you don't have to get on a bike. Quite frankly some of these riders are incredibly slow to react to a situation they should have seen coming.
Ok, what's with you 'revvers'? Is that supposed to be scary, or intimidating, or what? Especially from they guys on the 2-cylinder engines or the 600s. What exactly are you trying to demonstrate with that behavior?

Actually, that's a very good answer....I don't know if it's true or not, but seems feasible. It seems that people do it more out of anger and aggressiveness, but if it's effective, then good.
Jeff Blankenship ya this is a common technique for those of us who ride. It doesnt sound like it in the videos, but revving can be very loud and a great way to get a drivers attention. Honestly, bikes can be really tough to see (and a bunch of these riders are idiots and need to realize that and change their riding style). Its also often used over the horn because its actually faster and intuitive in a sudden emergency (we use clutch and gas all day but rarely the horn).
If I'm going to be honest, it's a pretty dumb move. They'd rather use their braking hand to rev their engine instead of covering the brake like a responsible rider. The horn is on the left side of the handlebar for a reason.
I get it to some degree; it's an Adrenalin induced reaction, I think, but in watching it, it comes across as silly, and, as you say, not really the prudent thing to do, at the moment.
