Odd how there is the "same" exhibiton happening in Toronto Canada right now. Something smells.
f1exhibition.com/toronto/
it was called the F-duct because the inlet was on the f of vodafone - the sponsoring at the time (:
I really like your content and your insight. This is one of my favorite F1 channels.
5 place grid penalty for getting off the ladder
Ocon will take the penalty.
I've seen enough. Points deduction for everton
@@DeMichel93obviously
@@ohmawgawdVEVO Points deduction for Leicester.
10 sec time penalty for ocon 😅
The face statue section not having Vettel there, is a CRIME!!
It was named the F-duct because the duct was placed next to the F letter from "Vodafone" on the top of the nose. Internally McLaren called it something else, don't remember how.
I also can't find any info about the internal name from mclaren for the F-duct. I guess we're stuck with the name
Pretty sure the technical name for it was "Ducty McDuct Face"
Law being like a kid in a candy store, it just shows the love and passion he puts into this job. I felt a lot like that when we went to the Red Bull F1 exhibition event
5:22 where’s Seb?
3:57 They don't call them soft, hard or medium because the hardness of the compounds changes from track to track, so terms like soft and hard are shifting and relative; whereas white, yellow and red are fixed.
You really, really _really_ need to get Oscar Piastri on or interview him. Your sense of humour, personality and style would work really well with him.
LawVS: "DON'T TOUCH!! That's a $50,000 fine!"
Inspector Seb: "Halte mein Bier."
Duct inlet was at the 'F' in Vodafone. :3
Cool exhibition. I know it'll never show up anywhere near me, but that's so cool to see.
What a great way to kick off race week! Thanks Law!!!!
Thank you for taking us along!! You need to take us out more often! You’re a great guide ❤
Okay that 2008-2022 wing comparison is insane
Also it's funny how they put all those cars like that with next to no protection and then the Grosjean's chassis is behind the glass
Great tour! Thank you 😊
The f duct for its location on the sponsorship logo.
I went to the Ferrari museum in Maranello back in 2005-ish. At the time, they were rearranging one of the displays, and it was one with Scheme's and Barichello's cars from that season. I was able to touch it, look right inside it, walk around it - man I wanted to sit in it too but I didn't want to push my luck that far.
It's a great museum and if you haven't got your fill of F1 engines, they have them from all years of Ferrari. Amazing.
LawVS without a Ladder the sky is falling/thanks for the festive F1 tour
Beautiful- you’re glowing.
I would too.
Saw the 88’ race.
She still looks a beautiful as the first time I laid eyes on her.
Immortal Empress
And the Lotus. Cuddles
I’d definitely be well out of pocket.
Amazing, thanks Law! Have to see this when it swings back over the pond.
Wow, thanks for the trip! The car comparison is just INSANE. No pictures or video comparisons can show how huge the difference is.
That was amazing!!!
If getting off the ladder means cool stuff like that you should do it more often
You clearly enjoyed the visit and that made it all the more special
Aww that was so cool I really wish I could go!
I attended the Toronto Exhibition and was just as cool. The helmets were definitely my favorite, seeing all those different designs from over the years was so amazing wish I could have a collection just as awesome. Learning about F1 from the beginning and how it’s changed and seeing their predictions on their future was mind blowing. Wish the Toronto one seemed as big as yours in London but happy i was able to enjoy the experience in Canada. Extremely jealous you got to see that RB so upclose!!
Recommenting to help boost the algorithm a tiny bit, this video deserves more views 🎉
The opening for the F Ducted started at the letter F on the Sponsorship of Vodafone on the top of the nose cone off centre. Love your content, keep up the great work 😀
SO scary getting down the ladder but it was WORTH IT !! That was so fun, thank you for taking us
Nice video for those who can't make it to the exhibition. Thanks for uploading
Fascinating exhibition! Very glad you got the invite. Definitely going up in the world!
Lovely exhibition, will visit if ever near
If they bring this exhibition out here to the States, I would gladly go see it.
It looks awesome!! I love your genuine reaction
i loved getting to watch you walk us through the museum it looks awesome!
Fantastic -very nice tour thank you !!!
These vlogs are awesome
I'm going tomorrow, can't wait!
Damn if I weren't literally on the otherside of the world, or had the 4k for a plane ticket, I would so be going to see that in person
I would expect that it will make its way to another country after this. Maybe even Australia in time for the race.
I missed the exhibition in Toronto. I'm glad I got to see it through your camera.
going in October, so excited!!
Thanks for the journey mate
Heading to London from Darwin Australia next week so definitely will be going to see this it looks fantastic!!!
Excellent video!!! Imo, one of your best
That was brilliant, thanks
Thank you for the great video🎉🎉🎉❤ really enjoyed the journey with you. The scale of these machinery is something out of this world😮😮❤❤
That’s an awesome exhibit 😮 so cool😎
What a great show...thanks LawVS!!
this was a fn watch! Thanx for taking us with you. Sadly I can't go in person since I'm stuck in South Africa. and no, don't hold your breath for a F1 race here anytime soon.
Very cool! Hoper they're gonna travel around with this exhibition, would love to go......or maybe just plan a trip to London...
I am liking, commenting & subscribing.
Loved the video, felt like you were on the ladder but not on the ladder. pretty cool stuff
Great video
As mercedes fan see all these mercedes things make me like a toy store, and i will add that the w10 has my favorite livery too.
Excellent video thank you very much for allowing me to see the musuem its awasome
the f is for the vodaFone sponsor, the air inlet for the duct was where the letter was on the car. lovely vid i had a great time leaving the loft thank you law
Yeah, I went to school for motorsports engineering and went to the IMS Museum and we were allowed to go over the ropes and tough most the cars on display in the main halls, but not the ones not on display. But we did get to walk around to see a ton of other cars that were not on display.
Nice of them to allow you to film the exhibition
I wasn't just allowed to film, I was invited as press days before it actually opened!
@@LawVSHey, you're moving up the world. Just imagine if this one day takes you to being counted as Press at a Grand Prix. Who knows? Maybe you'll do your own grid walk with Martin Brundle.
Law unladdered... good stuff. 😉
Wonderful guide, thank you. I need to go there.
Just been this morning, I really enjoyed it, although me and my mate messed up our trains and turned up an hour and a half early.
I also forgot my glasses, so I struggled to read some of the stuff, because I’m long sighted.
Loved the video Law! Need to see more off the ladder content!
Cool...Can't wait for d live post show tomorrow...
Love that it's in the same place as the Formula E track
this I so cool thank you LawVS
Thanks for this. I’ve got a ticket and can’t wait.
Can’t wait to go!
11:40 - yes, get a Lotus Elise.
I love mine.
Glad you made it!
Genuinely a very well-done video vlog, the enthusiasm and knowledge paired with the respect upheld for the place and the people makes for something entertaining, educational, and immersive. Bravo Ladderman 🪜
@LawVS Is your ladder one of the exhibits i would love to go see it in person. The Excel is were the Formula E Races are you ever going to the races next year.
The inlet for the f-duct was next to the f in Vodafone on the nose of the car
both F1 AND Friends exhibition...now THERE's where i'd rather be...thank you for bringing us, non brits, closer to all of it :')
Epic vid
You were nursing a semi the whole clip. God I wish I was in London. Thx for the trip!
11:47 You've driven an Ariel Atom? That's awesome. Is it as fun as Clarkson described on Top Gear all those years ago?
I'm mildly surprised Law didn't bring a ladder with him.
🤣
I like to imagine you use the ladder like a pogo stick to walk around
I literally just went to the friends experience with my family that was so weird seeing Law walk along the exact same street at the start as I walked down lmao
Great video keep it up you're doing amazing things 😁👍
Did this in Toronto, it was really nice, not a lot of people, I could take my time walking and I could take photos all I want 👍🏾
Great video!
I have seen in on the Sky Sport adv. So the F1 exhibition is good!
Friends and F1 in the Same building? “So no one told you life was gonna be this way”😅
Maybe a mini ladder, funko pop size🤔
10:44 it was called the 'f-duct' because the hole that was needed for the air to flow in was pretty much exactly pointed at the 'f' of McLaren's sponsor 'Vodafone' on the nose. That's how the 'f-duct' came to it's name!
I'm suspicious you actually drove to London with your ladder just in case you missed it so it's still near by.
Really fun, I think we can all bear the lack of the ladder if we get to see something as fun as this exhibition instead!
If you had taken the ladder, you could have gotten in for free.
Nobody questions a man with a ladders right to be there.
That's a cool exhibition! Reminds me a bit of the Donnington Park Motor Museum, which is sadly closed now. Have you got the chance to see it while it was still open?
I find it very interesting that it did differ to the one in vienna quite a bit, like different cars, suits and helmets etc.
Also the audio guide sucked here in Austria because it didn’t work half the time
The duct was placed on the F of Vodafone
If you change ladders , you get a 10 spot grid penalty.
10 rung penalty 😂
It seems a lot like like the Silverstone Museum, except this is dedicated to entirely to F1, whereas other motorsport catagories get a look in at Silverstone.
9:01 noice
I went to the Toronto Canada version of this i wonder if the cars are different based on where the Exhibition is.
Bout time you got down from there
No ladder? You’ve violated the LawVS
10:44 because the duct was near the sponsor of VODAFONE and the duct was near the 'F' of the vodaFone
0:50 surreal or not, we need to know which door you took! 😂
It was called the F-Duct due to the spot where the duct was in relation to the "f" in "Vodafone"
We're off the ladder, so much anxiety lol
Wen‘t to the same exhebition in June, when it was in Vienna. There was a mistake at the begining in one text about how many Championships Schumacher won with Ferrari. 😂
I wonder if they fixed it.
Would be nice to know.
it's called the F-Duct because it originally was above a sponsors name, right at the F. Don't remember the exact sponsor tho
The inlet was over the f on the Vodafone on the McLaren car
I used to think it was called the "F1-duct" because Vodafone had "voda-F1" in it lol 😆
