Goodness, this episode makes me feel, homesick......I love durians.
Capri or bak yu, though "outclassed" by Musang King, is still highly sought by durian lovers in Penang......an excellent durian but the arils are "white" in colour. The origin is from Bayan Lepas....Chui Chan Durian Farm, if not mistaken.
Surprised to hear that the season is finishing (maybe for this uncle's farm) as, the season usually starts in May. My favourite stall is at Titi Kerawang owned by Wong family. The elder Mr Wong has passed on several years ago and now, run by his son. After his death, the son, pasted some photographs taken with him at the side wall near the big tree of the stall. Been years and not sure, if they are still there. The red prawns, from his stall is excellent, and 604 😋😋😋 If you like "fleshy" arils, try the "Lin Fung Chau " variety😍😍😘😁😁😁.
On one occasion, I had one of the best D 24 from a very old tree at his stall. They also make and sell durian kuih........salivating already esp durians with santan and glutinous rice........😋 😋 😋

Eat in moderation for bcuz of the high value ($$$) of the fruit, many orchards uses hormones and pesticides to induce flowering and pest free. Instead, go for "kampong durians" ......Take care

Yes, very nice looking durian. Thanks for reminding me of eating durian with rice. Remember how my mother feed me that in my childhood days in Penang and it brings back fond memories of my mother.
我是来自东马砂拉越州古晋人，我觉得肉油的品种榴莲，在我们那边是属比较多的一种类，果肉奶白色，味道浓郁，有类似牛奶味，有点苦甘甜，果肉皮越多皱纹，表示果树的年龄越老，在当地年尾盛产期，这种类榴莲，一粒中等大榴莲，马币才3块钱，因为它是属深山野生甘榜榴莲，没有出口外地，当天卖当天就卖玩它，不宜储存，因为果肉很快变质，所以价钱就会比一般名种榴莲来的便宜😋👍

@@hockchai 不是打，是他用小刀刺上榴莲肉而放到盒子里的那刻。能放好好排放美观一些，有如johor/sin的榴莲业者。他们都排放包装整齐。榴莲肉的饱满和美感都被他那把小到刺坏了。 纯属个人意见
