As always, Your tutorials are very informative and helpful, ill do the same thing with my 'HO' hoppers, your video inspire me. Also, those two hoppers you bought by 'mistake' could be repurposed, for example. those coal loads can be repainted as ballast loads. And, you can convert them into MOW hoppers. I like what you did with that green Marx four wheel hopper replacing those factory issue Mark bogies with Lionel bogies.
You’re right: toluene will eat right into foam. You can, however, use it to your advantage to make more naturally eroded landscape, for example. Thanks for the tutorial. Really good creativity.
Nice technique. I use 2" thick styrofoam, course ballast, 1/2 Elmer's and 1/2 water with a pinch of Dawn and, when everything is dry, glossy back spray paint for coal or flat gray primer for gravel in MoW cars.

Nice looking coal loads from foam, thanks for sharing.
Surprising what you can do when you’re cheap!
Thanks to this I can now buy empty BLE hopper cars and make a full coal train
Very good and budget friendly solution. Also, I never realized they made battery powered foam cutters - another good tip!
Battery ran low just as I was finishing the last cars! Electric does have some advantages.

Thats Awesome!!!!!
Now you can`t carry any Christmas candy, I just stuffed a gondola with an old brown face towel. Good enough, and easy. GODS SPEED.
I’ve got a bunch of gondolas, easier to get candy and cookies out!
I made coal loads for my Coal Cars with a 3D Printer
