@@retrocarperdan could you elaborate please? What does the mesh do to base mix that hasn't been seived?
If you mesh them is there a need to boil them as they will give off more attractors in paste form and the mesh will protect them from nuisance fish !
Without boiling it would absorb water super quickly and then just fall off after an hour or two, ideal in terms of attraction potential but leaves you with a corkball as bait while the roach make of with the remnants of your paste
