Maybe emulating stories like Nursery Rhyme and Scheherazade do. With how much stories are worshipped even today, you are bound to get some powerful stuff. Hell, Cendrillon from A Certain Magical Index got to be a one woman army just by drawing on the power of Cinderella.
You really have to *admire* the ability of Japanese creatives to use Judeo-Christian-Islamic mythology as inspiration for a lot of their works *without* in any way bending the knee to the tyrannical Abrahamic religions; Bayonetta being a *brilliant* example of it. Also, fun fact I wanna share with you even though the game's been dead for a while now; according to Angelology, Dragalia Lost sexbending Sandalphon to be female actually has a *basis* , as according to it, the two angels on the Ark of the Covenant are supposed to be the Archangels Metatron and Sandalphon representing the two sexes; Metatron the male, and Sandalphon the female. Knowing that, I have *no* idea why traditional angelologists portray Sandalphon as a *man* ; a man can't really represent the *female* to be honest, and the name Sandalphon sounds very *feminine* honestly.
I'm impressed how well this franchise's magic system implemented Christianity as a sub-practice of Magecraft while respectfully keeping it balanced to understand.
The Clock Tower using golems familiars as janitor is very genius idea. They don't need to pay salaries to them, give them work benefits like healthy insurance, sick paid leaves. Also, they can just make more golems if they need more manpower for their school. It's very economic cause they just need to pay salaries to the teachers and the benefits they should get from working at the schools for the Clock Tower.
As a jew, I found this depiction of kabbalah fascinating, although hebrew is read right to left, and by the names of the sephiroth, you put the characters left to right, resulting in them being backwards. Still, great work as always!
Las time I was so early Hebrew was still considered a newcomer Semitic language and numerology was done in cuneiform. Last time I was so early the Tree of Life was planted, not depicted. Last time I was so early the names of god retained Mystery even if used quite a lot (it was the AoG).
I really should have. It's amazing how few resources I found mentioned it either. In the nasuverse it's part of Abby's NP, but she's tied to an outer gods, not Judaism. People are drawing parallels between the beasts and Qliphoth, though I can't verify any of that.
I mean if you have an entire population of depressed people who are willing to offer their lives to gather otherworldly material to recreate quite literally The First Act of God. Who wouldn't take the opportunity?
I was writting the fanfic where I'm trying to make sense and explore Nasuverse's magic system through the perspective of this main character, and when I was doing the part where his mentor explain him Kabbalah and scold him for not praticing enough of his crafting skills, I thought "I could make a little golem for him, just as mascot with little to no use... it is just him trying out golemancy for the first time" so now we have Little Dwayne... he is a rock.
Also thanks, your videos are helping me A LOT! Everytime I try writting a new character I need to search through an ocean of content to build their abilities and it's pretty nice to have someone giving some simplification. Last time I tried to go creative mode made a guy with Mystic Eyes that could accelerate oxidation (makes stuff rot, age and rust fast), or made an alternative crest system and a guy who combined runes, drones and jewel magecraft with elements to become a magus version of Eggman. So just disaster.
What do you think would happen if there was a large and powerful group of ordinary people without the ability to use magecraft completely dedicated to trying to learn as much about the supernatural world as possible let's say this group is large enough two the point that if they got completely wiped out people would notice how would group's like the mage association deal with that I think it would make for an interesting story.
Maybe it goes with fairy tale logic, where you, like the protagonist of such stories, had to figure out things rather than being told what to do or what it is. And you still cannot tell your own pupils how to solve it either ur otherwise they cannot learn by themselves.
I wonder did Yahweh exist in Nasuverse. Sometime is weird to me ark of covenant and solomon ring exist in Nasuverse. It hint the existence of their god because Ark of covenant power derive from Yahweh name dwelling in that box ( Deuteronomistic name theology), solomon ring also.
I guess Yahweh exists in the Nasuverse as much other godly beings like Odin or Isthar exist too at the same time. Is just because is part of a wellknown religion that makes it harder to depict without offending anyone. But then we have things like Quetzalcoalt with tits, so...
I wonder how the process of weakening the magecraft by spreading it works. Like, if Shirou told Fujimura about his tracing , would he find his skills weaker on the next day?

Taoist practices make really interesting magecraft.

Admittedly I was at the whim of my sources, and that's how they presented it.
Kabbalah written words are just texting for shorthand spell casting.
Thus, Avicibrone and Suzuka can understand each other through high speed texting.

Nice to know more about Kabbalah since it's been used on my other gacha games like Blue Archive and Counterside.
You learn something new every day. Love your videos Dai-kun
I will love to see you dive into some SMT lore!!! Also Sephiroth!!!!(choir) 🎶
There’s a lot of lore to cover across the books games and manga so it could be a second series parallel to this one.
