While LeBron's consistent performance has been instrumental in leading the US team to numerous victories, which earned him MVP, the impact of Curry's performance in the last two games to clinch the gold cannot be understated. His exceptional play during these crucial moments will indeed be a highlight when reflecting on this tournament. It's the ability to perform under pressure that often cements a player's legacy, and Curry certainly rose to the occasion. Night! Night!

Nahhhhhh, Lebron didn't earn $hit, it was gifted to him by some bias underhanded dealings and I stand on that. Everyone is talking the ish about Bron doing this and Bron doing that in the other games, but everyone has deliberately ignored that Lebron was dismally small in the semifinal and these finals, who wasn't able to get Team USA over the hump in both crucial moments.
A serious question that nobody wants to answer is, does Lebron still gets MVP as the Best player in the Olympics if Team USA loses in the finals, and he and Steph ends the game with the same stats for the finals as they are and the same performances?
I can confidently tell you the answer is no.
So why if it is no with Steph out- performing and outshining him, what makes it so different that he is deserving of it when he clearly wasn't the X-factor for them winning the two most crucial games that got them the Gold?
A daylight French robbery was committed on Steph Curry.

  • @AR-rn8ok

The man who saved team USA from elimination twice, and dominated that much in the final game, should have been mvp. Congrats to Bron for being this good at 40. Taking nothing away from him but Steph was the man that saved team USA not once but twice and in a fashion more dominant than we’ve ever seen in the Olympics.

Stephen A is a prisoner of the moment. Just a few months ago, he had Curry as No. 2. The only thing Curry has done since then has had two good Olympic games. Curry has not surpassed Magic in titles, MVPs, Finals MVPs, All-NBA First Teams. While he is a better shooter and scorer than Magic, his career assist totals much lower despite Magic leaving the game much too soon.

I’m a big fan of Steph Curry and the Warriors.
But here are a couple things that gave me pause and making the giant proclamation
Whether it was just not familiar with his Olympic teammates, south Sudan had people on that team who were as big as LeBron James and could run all day and night even faster than Steph Curry.
One of those games, he only had three points because they didn’t let him get a second of rest
While everyone will look at only the highlights, some of us looked at those games and won’t forget what we saw versus all of the sports media production.
If any of these other companies/countries had as much money in their NBA product as the United States does, I don’t think the United States compete with any of them.

Why didn’t Stephen Curry win MVP? LeBron James earns award over Warriors star despite iconic Olympics performance
Stephen Curry delivered an impressive performance during his first Olympics, leading Team USA to gold with standout contributions in the semifinals and finals. Despite his pivotal role, he did not win the MVP award; that honor went to LeBron James. While Curry shone in the tournament's final games, his earlier struggles overshadowed his overall performance compared to James, who maintained consistency throughout all six games. Ultimately, James' complete body of work throughout the tournament earned him the MVP title.
    By the Numbers
Curry averaged 14.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists over the tournament.
James recorded 14.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 8.5 assists, showcasing greater overall versatility.
    Yes, But
While Curry had a remarkable end to the tournament, including shooting 17 of 26 from three-point range in the last two games, it was not enough to compensate for his previous performance inconsistency, which was a determining factor in the MVP decision.
    State of Play
Curry finished as Team USA's leading scorer, surpassing James by four total points.
James led the team in both rebounds and assists per game, establishing his all-around impact.
    What's Next
Looking ahead, Curry's Olympic performance may elevate expectations for his future NBA season, while James will likely carry his momentum into continued discussions about his legacy in international play.
    Bottom Line
Despite his electric finish, Stephen Curry's late heroics could not erase early missteps, leaving LeBron James to take home the MVP award due to his sustained excellence throughout the Olympics.
Stephen A. Smith cannot undermine and question the wisdom and integrity of the judges who decided the Paris Olympics 2024 Basketball Men MVP in favor of Lebron James.
If he's persistent on his destructive criticism "Why Lebron Got The MVP Award" he's challenged to elevate his complaint before the judges who promulgated the decision awarding the MVP to Lebron to review their decision and reverse it immediately in favor of Stephen Curry, if found there's mistake, partiality or anomaly. Otherwise, Stephen A. Smith is advice to shut up his mouth and accept the veracity of the judges' decision.

Steph is actually a shooting guard, but is listed as a point because today's game is kind of positionless.
He's the greatest shooter ever by far, but if we're talking about the way the actual position is played, he's not it.
He has point guard skills, but he's not really a point by the nature of his game.

Wow its interesting to listen to US media so in love with its NBA basketball.. France put up a great fight against a team USA that was playing bad too many turnovers and miscommunication.. against Serbia it took one travelling call for Lebron or Embiid to give Serbia the win .. i expected the avengers to be a dream team but now its clear that there was only one and only original Dream Team 🎉

In terms of seeing the floor, facilitating offense and doing it in a way that contributes to winning, there has never been a better PG than Earvin "Magic" Johnson.

Curry is Not a point guard. Curry is a shooting guard playing the point guard position. It’s blasphemy, to true point guards like Magic, John Stockton, CP3 or Jason Kidd. Points guards gets his/her team into their offense, produce easy points for other offense challenged position players, visionary and is extension of coach on floor. Curry is a catch shooter or creates his shot- Curry too busy running around. How is he running his team offense ! Also, I bet Curry ranks low in assists per game ??!! Stop it ESPN and Stephen A. 🤦‍♂️ These days there are no true point guards- eg: Curry, Westbrook, Fox, Trey Young.
I agree Curry is the best shooter but not even in my top 5 point guards list !!!!!!!!

Wassup G, I have to totally disagree with your statement. Lebron should not have been MVP of the Olympics games. Why, you may ask, let me shed facts. If Steph hadn't stepped up these last 2 critical games the semi-finals and the gold medal game Team USA would have been going home hopefully with a bronze medal. The last 2 games were not blowout games, and Lebron scores were not high enough to carry the team. He did a great job on defending Joker and his triple double but again if Steph hadn't stepped up they would have LOST!! PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Stepping up when needed to win is an MVP!! All the other games Steph was a great help to the team. Lebron does not deserve the MVP. Keep up the good work brother.

How can he be greatest point guard whe Jrue Holliday has more assists then he does. Stephen A is straight tripping. You can make a case that Steph is the greatest shooting guard but a point guard has to have assists. Lebron has more assists more points runs the team and has as many rings. Does that make him the greatest pg ever? No. He's a Small forward... Steph is a shooting guard that sometimes plays point. But he isn't in the conversation with the likes of John Stockton, Magic Johnson, Chris Paul or Jason Kidd all of them are better point guards than Steph... Much as hed like to Stephen A doesn't get to redefine the point guard position Stockton has 2 unapproachable records, assists and steals. Steph is a great shooter but he'll never catch Lebron in points.....

Todays game blurs the lines of traditional basketball positions. Draymond Green is not a point guard nor a real center but he plays a certain role on that team. I would also argue that Jokic is NOT a point guard yet he averaged the most assist for the Denver Nuggets the last 3-4 seasons.

Magic in my top 5 and that’s period and u can’t compare them. At the same time Curry 6-3 I can understand why he label the best and Isiah Thomas has the résumé’. And this is coming from a Steph Curry fan
