    I like how much info is on the box .Guess it's good advertising if it's sitting on a shelf at a store.
    Ya those plastic clamps don't give ya a lot of confidence.
    Looks like a great little system. Self priming the best.. wow what an impeller and magnet ..
    You make it look easy. I have only used canister filters in the pond and they were terrible so it's nice to see one that puts confidence back in them.
    Isn't there always a problem lol
    Time to drain yet once again 😂
    It's doing a great job. That tank is looking awesome

      Peace of mind is one of the prominent features of this FX series I reckon bud.
      First filter I've had that I haven't felt I've needed to watch for hours once set up and keep checking on it every five minutes thereafter. Somewhat to do with the reputation of the filters backed up by playing with it whilst setting it up and noticing how good all the parts and features are.

    We are putting a goldfish tank together (55 gal) and was locked in on the FX2 but am wondering if an FX4 would be total overkill in that tank. I am not worried about price, just want to make sure we filter enough! We have several tanks but have always been a salt/reef type so this is new stuff. THANKS and awesome video!

  • @TarasTankFriends

    Very thorough and well done review, Daniel! I also like how it splits the outflow so you can choose how you want that. The impeller looks more like a jet turbine than any impeller I've seen! An idea for the lid: there's a black plastic board, (maybe 5-6mm thick) that we got a sheet of at the home improvement store and used to make panels for covering the electrics under my racks. It's pretty tough, I wonder if you can get something like that? You might be able to make a hinged lid with it if you can get short enough screws or run black electrical tape along the seam of both halves on both sides. Anyway, I'm sure you'll figure out a good solution! Looks like a great filter, hope you're having a nice week! 🙂👍

    • @DanielKeepingFish

      Thanks very much for the suggestion Tara. I will need to look at what the hardware stores have although the ones around here aren't great it has to be said.

    Hi Daniel, what is the size of tank you put this on? It looks like an amazing filter and I may give it a try.

    • @DanielKeepingFish
      @DanielKeepingFish  ปีที่แล้ว

      450 litres. It's a Juwel Rio. Think it's an amazing filter. Only thing is on the Rio the tubes are a bit wide and push the lid up. If that's not a problem for the tank you have I would definitely recommend this filter. I had to cut the lid on the Rio to get it to sit right. I recorded it so I'll get a video up about it when I get a chance.

    To get over the problem of the lid hitting the pipes at the rear, I would just cut the corners off. You can get used or new flaps for a fraction of the cost of new lights and messing with diy covers. I think as you said branding the plug would be good, maybe make it red also.

      Oh I don't know, I kinda like them compared to the typical boring pipes most other manufacturers use particularly the clear ones where you can see the waste building up in them.
