Hi @doublebilly, The Fires Explosive arrows or bolts does not work on the mercenary. With Kuko, it may look like she is firing explosive arrows all the time, but in reality that is not the case. She only fires EA when she decides to use her skill.
I started with this build and was a bit harder for me until had Demon Machine cuz Kuko dont penetrate enough times. I noticed that skill points were the most important part of the build for upgrade my dmg and picking blue items with + skills was the key. Started farming Crypt and Mausoleum until I get enough gear for cows. Thanks mate for this content! PD: I bought Drognan a +1 enchant for Leaf into a +4 pre-buff :)
Finally got my first ever flickering flame last night! Made a fire sorc last season but never got myself a vex, but found a ohm off a ghost while killing summoner and traded it for a Vex Gul and Mal , so managed to make a flickering flame and a mosiac this season off the back of that! Already found my demon machine and magefist. Was rocking a peace armour for the valk , but now have enlightenment untill i find a nice ormus robe. Ive got a a2 prayer merc with insight and cure on too so its almost impossible to die now too! Just need to find myself a ravenfrost for cbf now, and get myself my first sorc torch with her!
I have always liked using a bow on my enchantress along with the ranger merc, we are like a mobile turret. She never stops shooting. This is how I leveled mine in hc. Not like I can't take a hit since you just invest in vitality mostly.
Great stuff. I would probably still use a holy freeze mercenary, just for the freeze and insight, but also there is a damage reduction on ranged attacks. Holy Freeze or Frenzy A5 merc for me. I love playing enchantress because I usually chuck in firewall as well.
Made my first char on scnl today to run with a friend who bought the game. Having demon machine, razortail, and minimal other gear I was clearing p8 nm cows with ease. Looking forward to building it out more, I like that other guys suggestion about wearing dragon armor with fire bolt/ball maxed to proc synergized hydras. Probly irrelevant damage but it's fun
Kinda fresh mate, um, think you need to condense the information a bit. Was a bit of a rough watch and a slow video without a climax either. Seem like a top bloke though, so I'm looking forward to seeing some more stuff.

Yes, Players 1 cows is a good standard for "viable" to me. All other places have immunes or situational mobs, and thats offset by the high health of cows.
I also feel like an Ice merc might give you more control of movement, making it impossible to be overwhelmed and forced to tele away, and restart shooting, to then tele again, and again.
I rushed someone last night with this build and was able to handle all areas including ancients. I was running flickering flame and +3 enchant ormus but it did fine
@@Hagelnot bramble and pride aren’t as good as a random reaper toll on merc. And I’m a summon Druid main and I confirm this naked enchantress kills cows quicker than summon Druid. Summon druids are good at killing elite packs only not large groups of enemies
@@heckanice7278 is that so? hmmm :( but the thorns addition should be superb, as it is for the necro. reaper might be the better choice than some additional damage, that makes sense. but bramble contributes to the whole pack, while treachery only benefits the merc itself. I haven't tested it out myself yet. but yeah, makes sense that they are not great at large groups. however, I don't like cow level anyways ^.^
@@Hagelnot summons just not meant for soloing cows. Thorns isn’t needed as you stun hardcore packs anyway with shockwave. Summons dominate elite packs and bosses. I just do terror zones and tele stomp packs. Cta/spirit and beast/stormshield on swap. When you see packs having melee auras I tele in with stormshield, turn into bear and cast 1 shockwave. I use fcr circ ammy arachs and magefist to meet breakpoints
@@heckanice7278 yeah thats true, its not for cows. but believe it or not, i dont use eni on my druids. i only have one which belongs to other chars. instead i reposition the minions often, almost like casting a spell. works fine :) i made two different summoners, one that is summon/bear with maxed maul and Death as weapon. The other a full summoner, no single point spent in other trees, but gets bear and wave through helm base (delirium) and beast. I can't decide which I like more. But summon dudu is definately fun to play :) For farming and full meta I use other builds, blizzorb sorc and so on. All builds I will make in the future will be weird tryout builds^^ much inspired by our good guy Billy here.

Yeah, what a disapointment. I was thinking kuko + wisdom but since it doesn't work might as well go insight or a 100% pierce bow.

Billy you can shop a 2 socket staff with +3 enchant and make leaf for an easy budget +6 enchant
Hell yea you can. Also a +3 Enchant gnarled staff which you can larzuk to make a Memory
it feels like a cold a1 merc would be better for the super budget version. that CC is very nice and would let you stand still longer.
Great point mate. In my experience A1 Cold Rogue is better for early TZ farming, you want Fire for cows for better clear and dmg output

Very cool! How would this work with dragon or hand of justice? Would fire mastery do the same double dip with the holy fire?
I made one with dragon armor and maxed fire bolt and fire ball so it would proc fully synergized hydras. It's great, but it is full on glass cannon.
Its good and can work very well. It's a variant I hope to revisit later on for sure
this happens when you're a sorceress but hurl fireballs with a bow =))

Kuko won't go up much in price, Demon Machine may do a little bit but it is still reasonably easy to find in comparison to other Elite Uniques

Finished this build yesterday. A +7 Obsession gets you to 54 Enchant. (24k dmg) Good times.
Get a +3 enchant 2 socket and make leaf.. get +6 for price of ral and tir

are you sure? i had 2 summon dudus last season and they did surprisingly well, although I hadn't obtained Beast or Pride+Bramble (for merc) yet
