We are building "CarbonBee" in Berlin (Marina West). Measuring 15 meters in length, based on our JANU-15 design, full carbon catamaran focuses on both high performance and a well-balanced level of comfort
It's a family project from the design over the construction up to... sailing the catamaran.
Unsatisfied with the offerings on the market, we decided to design and build the catamaran ourselves using state-of-the-art materials and technology.
"CarbonBee" is designed to be a true blue water sailing catamaran, offering a combination of lightness, solidity, power, speed, and safety. Our intention wasn't to create and build any houseboat or a condo-maran.
The aim was also to demonstrate that building a high-tech sailing catamaran can be achieved by amateur builders.
The catamaran's two hulls will each contain two cabins for two people, as well as a shower with a basin and a separate toilet with a basin. The bridge will feature a kitchen, saloon, navigation equipment, and a steering station.
"CarbonBee" will get electric propulsion and possibility of recuperation when going under sails.
"CarbonBee" measures 15 meters in length and 9.3 meters in width, with a draft of 0.5/2.5 meters and a weight of approximately 4 t. The displacement is 6.5 t.

I think your boat will be closest thing compared to lightning - as far as performance cruising cats are concerned. I would be frightened to be on the water in a 6t cat in bit ocean. However, it looks as though it is very well constructed and will be sailed with very good hands and minds. Cheers@@bojanu7212

@stdntallan Thanks for the nice comment.
Nowadays you have satellites and good forecasts for weather conditions. Having fast boat you do not need to go in heavy seas or into storms, but having slow, heavy cat you can't choose weather - the weather will choose you.

Hi, do you need the information for any specific project? The ISO standard ISO:12216 describes the requirements.

what is the mission of this boat because no toe rail and hatches at the bottom of your front facing window is just a couple of the things that are very confusing

@@bojanu7212 what is confusing? i asked what you're going to use your boat for? because building a carbon boat with no toe rails, and hatches at the bottom of the windscreen windows make absolutely no sense in my mind.

@@pred7949 We will use our boat mainly in marina. On the open see our autopilot will use the boat.🤣
Allegedly carbon boats doesn't need toe rails, but we anyhow install them 🙃😉😂.
The hatches will be always closed, and we do not know anymore why we installed them. We will work hard at this to check the idea behind it. 😉🤔🤥🤕
