Yeah it was a fantastic time. I watched Interstellar because of hype. I didn't even know about The Grand Budapest Hotel and Whiplash. After I watched TGBH it is my favorite of all time. All that Films are great. (I haven't watch gone girl yet).
I’m not ashamed to admit that I routinely play this tune when I get to school in the morning. I start it either when I leave the bus or enter through the door. Then, I throw my jacket into my locker and walk to class while the “Daylight Express to Lutz” section plays. I also listen to it on the way home from school. It’s one heck of an experience. You feel like you’re in a much grander place than you really are and you really feel like you’re the Concierge of the Grand Budapest Hotel in Nebelsbad walking through the hallway with this playing.

The Grand Budapest Hotel and Interstellar are both amazing movies with just as incredible soundtracks but they are tethered to thier specific films. While Zimmer aims for grandiose and cinematic epicness, Desplat goes for a simpler melody with quieter tone. And that fits with the movie. Zimmer is good, and I used to think he was the best, but now I find him over rated and repetitive (probably because companies ask for something similar to what he's done on other films)
