As an American it breaks my heart that they won’t be in the Olympics! It won’t be the same without them there, as they bring out the best in us. The Olympics need to expand it to 16 teams for the women

I am so sad for Sweden because that also means they did not qualify for the Olympics for the first time. They had so many chances but they could not convert it. It shows that when their defence is shaky and the attacking players are not connecting, this is the result. Switzerland really did some great defending and took their opportunities at the right time.
They not qualify for Olympics because lose to Spain 2 times before in group.
Sometimes it's just not your day.

There's been quite a few surprises in the women's inaugural Nation's League: Belgium beating England, Spain loosing to Italy, and Switzerland beating Sweden. with more to follow, I'm sure.

So many bad mistakes from the refs, atleast 2 penalties should’ve been given and a lot of free kicks. But I can’t blame Switzerland they were good and Sweden needs a break from major tournaments to focus on the younger players so they can come back now that they’re so vulnerable without Eriksson and Rolfö and Blomqvist.
Are they injured or how come none of them played this one? (Eriksson, Rolfö, Blomqvist)
I saw pictures with Eriksson in training, yet she wasn't on the bench even?
I just watched the Germany vs. Denmark game and the ref was appallingly incompetent. I am sure there must be some good female referees out there, some place?
@@littlemonster802 Rolfö operated her knee, Blomqvist tore her ACL and Magdalena Eriksson got two yellows which meant she wasn’t allowed to play.
I think that one of them, on the edge of the penalty area, was a foul; otherwise it was a relief not to see the referee award a free kick for every bit of contact.
Sweden seemed to be all over the Swiss, but they were hopelessly indecisive when countless scoring chances came their way.

Ice & wet conditions made for a fun match. I get a perverse enjoyment in seeing the number 1 ranked team scuff so many chances and go on to lose. Gives other teams a bit of confidence to beat the higher ranked teams.

Since there is very little that can be rescued from Switzerland apart from Crnogorcevic's goal, they have been very lucky, Sweden attacked a lot while it was snowing.
Switzerland were hungrier, Sweden with more international players, more worn out and more tired, couldn´t use their chances...

the one shout we saw in these highlights was a clear dive , pisses me off with em diving all the time. (yes there was a ball to arm but that didnd deserve a penalty
