Fun transformation! The floor looks really good. I enjoyed all the dancing in this video from the sanding dance to the "It's Finished" dance of joy.

Great job on the paint job! I love brave souls!!! I’m trying to figure out some flooring for a media room. We bought our house with Brazilian Cherry floors (which is beautiful) but expensive as heck to finish the whole house with. I don’t know what to do yet... I wish you were open to give me ideas.. lol! Love your finished project!!!
That is a tough one. If at all possible, I would try to save the cherry floors that you have. There are many complimentary styles you can use until the time is right for you to do the whole house!

Do you guys know how I can remove the paint after one year? If it is easy to remove it or a lot time consuming?
My landlord is not on board with the idea of me painting the floor right now, and I am trying to figure out if it is worthwhile convincing her (and founding out if I can remove it when I move out). Thank you.

Holding up well so far but it’s not been very long and we wear socks down there. However, Joy is down there quite often and no paw scratches yet! You mop with non abrasive soap and that’s no issue at all! I’ll do an update after a year. ❤️

I have a tile floor that is ugly faux Mexican tile from the front door, thru the dining room and finish in the kitchen. To have it removed is so costly. I am game to give this a try. I did not catch the first coat paint brand. The to finish is Rustolem______? Did you send for it or go to a big box store to purchase? You did a great job.
Rustoleum makes a paint just for this purpose. It's a base coat (tinted to the color you choose) plus a clear top coat. I used the paint on an ugly linoleum bathroom floor, and it looks amazing. Holding up well so far, too!
Forgot to say that I ordered mine online, but you can get it in some big box stores as well.
The paint will not last and will peel off later and it will not look good eventually, compared to the original tiles you have. All it just needed was a good mopping, buffing, cleaning, and waxing.

ugh....... I'm 2 minutes in and came here to see about painting floor tiles and how it worked out. However, I'm seeing lame attempts at humor through silliness and it's EXTREMELY ANNOYING.
