- Ever since the beginning of My Hero Academia we've seen Izuku grow as a hero, but in the shadows... Shigaraki has grown as a villain. After being rejected repeatedly by his family & the world for wanting to be a Hero... He has finally decided to walk into the darkness & become the greatest villain the world has ever seen. All For One has always been a character shrouded in mystery. We never knew if he cared about Shigaraki, but now its very clear. He truly does view Shigaraki as a Son. Now Shigaraki has become his own man & can carry the will on of his predecessor. At first Shigaraki wanted to just destroy, but now he wants to create as well. A lot of people seem to be reading a lot into shigaraki not responding to his mom’s question if he still wanted to be a hero. But if we are suppose to read into it, maybe he really does want to be a hero. But a hero to his team. He wants to create a future where they can belong. He doesn’t care about the future for himself, he wants to leave it up to his allies to shape society the way they see it. He won’t destroy what they love. He wants to destroy the hero society that has caused them so much pain. For a villain, he’s very considerate towards his team.

@@jeffdabest0545 But you're wrong, he is real, in his story, if the story is fiction it doesn't necessarily mean its themes, characters and symbolism are fake, they're grounded in reality while still remaining "fiction". Tho, stories like Monster or Ashite no Joe are so grounded in reality that it becomes hard distinguishing between fiction and reality, because even if the world itself is fiction, there is no telling if the stories and character aren't heavily inspired by reality or trying to send a message.

This is the start of a hero and villain relationship that will define this manga, I love how both of them have grown

The whole sequence with Shagaraki's family and him going to AFO was majestic. He is at peace with them! He wasn't mad to Hana, his mom or his grandparents. His father is the main catalyst for his hate. But, he has made the decision to fully embrace AFO. No redemption arc for Shigi guys, Hori has made it pretty clear with that sequence, and I love it. Next chapter will be a massacre.
Honestly, giving Shigaraki a redemption arc would hurt his character.
If I remember correctly, Hori did say somewhere that there's no turning back for Shigaraki

Same here, they have waaaay more interesting backstories and development then like deku. Only hero who really has this complex and interesting of a situation is Endeavor and his whole family situation.
What made me a fan of the series was Shoto. His lack of screentime and development post Stain arc disssapointed me. What brought me back was Endeavor. I loosely follow the series. Judging from comments it seems the Villians and Hawk are great aswell.
Sasuke is easily the best character in the series yeah honestly most of the main cast (1A) dont even compare to some of the more developed characters, which kinda sucks tbh. I wouldnt even mind if Horikoshi killed off the less important ones and stuck with the ones that have actually been developed.
I feel most of the people in the class just aren’t important at all really anymore, they all used to be equals and interesting to see where the potential could be if they all grew,
But with Deku just skyrocketing beyond any of the others it just puts them so far behind, like I’ll ask this.
When was anyone like iida or Ochako important?
Even though they’re classed as some of the main set of characters they hardly get anything at this point.
But with the villains and pro heroes, we get a lot of exposition and development back to back, they grow together and develop all together, unless you’re Dabi, but still they all feel important and well developed as they all have spotlight, but it’s not too much at once as it’s all shared.
At this point I feel we know more about the pros and villains backstories then any of the students.
If Aizawa dies Eri will be sad, therefore it must be prevented at all costs.

Sounds dark, but I feel like some students need to die too. It would be way to unrealistic, in an all out war, that no student is hurt or killed.
It would probably be easier to make a survivor pool than a death pool.
I hope he doesn't kill Endeavour. He still has to complete his redemption arc.

I think of stain as heroic tendencies being forgotten in exchange for a more business approach. I, 4 the first time since I started reading this manga, have legitimate fear on how this situation is going to develop.
It's gonna take a timeskip of 5 years 4 Izuku and the others to catch up with Shigaraki with all 4 one added on his stock of powers.
But more interesting than other, I'm curious to see how the society of MHA would react to the sudden lack of security taken from the hands of the heros. Can't wait
You're the first person I've heard mention this but this really did feel like a Tokyo Ghoul chapter. Hori keeps giving Shigaraki some of the best chapters imo. And while reading this chapter, I felt like Hori is really taking the time to polish these recent chapters.

The thing is though, Deku will be focused on later. I see where the writing is going. He's a writer that gets to something when he is ready. We took some time off the students to establish the world/threat with the villains, the pro-heroes to confront the current threat then the focus for the new generation and how they will respond to that threat as a coming of age story. People asking about Deku character development -- IT WILL COME, It's inevitable. He has to confront the issues of society as well, not just defeat the villains.
I expect a time skip soon. I think the heroes will lose here. Society will crumble as we know it, and the remaining heroes will no choice but to go on hiding. With this, Deku will tell the others about he inheriting One For All, and get special training from the remaining top heroes, together with all the other next generation heroes.
After one or two years of time skip, we see class A in all their glory getting ready to strike back and reclaim society from the chaos of Shigaraki's rampage. There is a lot of potential. Maybe all Japan will become Shigaraki's Territory and all the other heroes will flee to America and other places.

Dependency is a big issue within my hero's society. Moral responsibility is almost entirely delegated to the heroes as a social norm and the law itself discourages civilians from taking action despite how helpful they could potienally be in some scenarios. It almost like Hori is showing us why superheroes shouldn't exist.

Said brother's Quirk had the power to be passed down to others, it merged with the consolidation Quirk, and One For All was born. So it is both reacting to its twin and its parent.

Through the power of All for One (and Inception), Tomura Shigaraki has become the new Number 1 villain of the series.
It's time to wave some death flags.
That whole city is about to become dust. This will be like when we first saw All for One in action for the first time......how instantaneous it was. What shigaraki is about to do will be like that but on a cataclysmic level. One second there is a bustling city full of living people. The next there will be nothing but blood and rubble....and shigaraki standing there in the middle with the devils smile on his face. Deku has every right to be afraid......there is nothing he can do to stop what is about to happen, best he can do right now....is be lucky enough to survive.

I think a better way to look at it is to imagine someone growing up learning the Western European alphabet and then suddenly being expected to learn the Chinese or Japanese alphabet. For most it's near impossible. It's the reason AFO didn't take Best Jeanist's quirk, it's too technical to easily learn.
So all for one wasn’t putting his back into it when he fought all might in season 3.... damn!

Here I always thought that All For One was planning a murder suicide to both remove himself from Tomura so he can stand on his own, and rob Deku of his mentor, slowing his progress. Looks like it was closer to him being on his last legs just like Toshinori.

@@shadi6484 Mm, I don't know. Perhaps it'll inevitably be touched upon because the Joint Training Arc, Meta Liberation Army Arc and Endeavor Agency Arc chapters are so short, consisting of 15 on average as opposed to the usual 18 on average.

@@shadi6484 Well, it obviously depends on the length of an arc, that's why Season 1 adapted 4 entire arcs, despite all of it being so short and in 13 episodes: Entrance Exam Arc, Quirk Apprehension Test Arc, Battle Trial Arc and the Unforeseen Simulation Joint Arc. Season 4, on the other hand, only managed to fully adapt 2 in its midst: Remedial Course Arc and the U.A. School Festival Arc.
The Shie Hassaikai Arc, which is by far the longest, picked up after it had started at the end of Season 3, which besides that had fully covered the Forest Training Camp Arc, Hideout Raid Arc and the Provisional Hero License Exam Arc, which makes it 3 fully adapted arcs in that season. The Pro Hero Arc didn't get covered quite entirely at the end of Season 4, and will be finished at the start of Season 5.
That leaves Season 2 with 25 episodes and no protrusions at the start or the end with 3 full arcs: U.A. Sports Festival Arc, Vs. Hero Killer Arc and the Final Exams Arc, which still did end up teasing people with the fact it ended halfway through a chapter.
With all that said, my hypothesis is that Season 5 will once again fully adapt the 3 aforementioned arcs, while finishing the Pro Hero Arc that Season 4 started and starting another one, which is the current Paranormal Liberation War Arc. In total, on average, I'd say each season pretty much fully adapts 3 arcs with protrusions of some others at the start and at the end, making it 4 that are touched upon or, for the first time in the anime, 5 in Season 5 because of what's mentioned above.
Yes, unfortunately, that means we won't get this arc in Season 5 in its entirety, but what can you do. Season 5 will probably be the first since Season 2 not to have a fully anime-original recap, instead relying on the source material to get it done. Season 6 on the other hand most likely will have one, since the focus is taken straight away from our main students when the war actually starts, which means they'll go the Season 4 recap route and make it the events prior to the preceding season's final moments.
And yes, I reckon the actual meat and potatoes of the war will only be Season 6 material. It's just like how the Shie Hassaikai Arc was happening in the manga in 2017, back when Season 2 of the anime was airing, while Season 4 only truly got to it at the end of 2019. The wait is dreadful, but it pays off. Hopefully, Studio Bones will do what they can do with it.

That whole dream sequence of shigaraki's family and AFO was lit af. Omg 😲😲😲 deku got chills from sensing his presence and I got chills after reading it
Facts
The doctor mentioned in a previous chapter that the tubes were designed to help stabilize people after quirk transplant surgery, as it was brought up earlier that most people are not compatible with multiple quirks. So, Shigaraki being at 75% means that he is 75% stabilized. What this means in terms of what is to come is that he's probably not at full power. He could be sluggish and not have very precise motor controls. He could also not have a lot of stamina. Any of these reasons could give us enough of a reason for him to kill a bunch of the heroes in the lab, but not actively go after the students. Since Shigaraki knows about One For All thanks to the doctor, it's also safe to conclude that the secret of Midoriya's quirk is also in jeopardy, which could have some mixed results, depending on who finds out.

This chapter was filled with so much symbolism. The inner world of Shigaraki was an amazing sight. This was a goodbye Tenko, and long live Tomura Shigaraki. The heroes messed up, and the nightmare to society is about to begin.
His dad didn’t let him be a hero, then he was brainwashed by, all for one. But somehow it’s the hero’s fault? Wtf is that logic?
@@samscholz5024 I hope you understand that it was when he needed help, a hero wasn't there to save him, nor did anyone lend a hand to help him based on how he looked. It was the fact that it took a villain to come save him. He had a selfish goal at first, but after understanding how hero society affect his comrades, it made his goal justified in his own mind because hero society wasn't fair to them, so now they want to destroy it. It's messed up, but it's the path he decided to walk.

Sam Scholz it’s the ideology in their minds that they think they are justified in the things they do. I’m not saying they are justified in the actions they do. Little Tenko wasn’t saved in time before All for One came into the picture. People took one look at the stranded kid and were scared, and decided to hand over the problem to a hero that might lend a helping hand. Shigaraki and the others felt that hero society let them down because of their upbringing. It’s the one quote that Twice said, “it takes one bad day.” I’m not saying their logic makes sense, just saying that it’s their ideology of how they feel about hero society. It’s a childish dream that they want to make a reality, and they don’t care about the after effects because they’re villains that want to incite chaos.

It’s shitty writing and makes bad touch man a shitty villain. The logic is bullshit and just makes any attempt at sympathy and empathy fall short because the villains have bullshit reasoning. The entire emotional aspect of the story is trash. The villains are irredeemable and thus their is zero emotional conflict when the hero’s come in and stop them. Shitty writing.

Finally. A reactor that actually understands what Horikoshi’s been trying to set up. His writing is one of a million. The constant parallels between what it means to be a hero and a villain. Villains birthing heroes and heroes birthing villains. The constant and adjacent growths of Deku and Shigaraki. People that call this story bland only look at the exterior surface. They don’t look at the bigger picture, and see what Hori’s has been trying to create, which is why weekly releases really doesn’t do most manga justice. Only when you read it in chunks or go back to previous scenes can you clearly see what’s being built up to.

X-Less just dun screwed up EVERYTHING for the Hero's just because he decided to blast some random Machine instead of just grabbing Shigaraki and hauling butt out there. He didn't need to do anything but escape with the lifeless body of Shigaraki as fast as he was able to move. Instead because X-less left him on the ground in a puddle of water and blasted a bunch of live wires around, and has awoken the new All for One Shigaraki from his death like slumber.
I bet shigaraki grab x less by face take his quick and kill him same time.

its bad in the sense that it shows how bad a Hero X-less is. Here is the very person they are trying to stop from being awoken as a monster, and his only job at that point was to listen to Mic and get Shigaraki out. instead he sees some machine unbroken from the fighting and decides "hey i should break that not even knowing what it does before I go." Because of that everything that's about to happen is on his failure as a hero to just do his role.
What do anyone think what shiguraki gonna do to Dabi when he fines out that he planning to pull A starscream behind his back. Base on what Dabi said in the previous chapter that he doesn't care about shiguraki or the league of villians. For me something tells me that Dabi planning to pull. Starscream on Shiguraki

Shiggy has honestly grown into my favorite MHA character.
I remember the Doctor saying at one point he’s putting 7 quirks into Shigaraki so if I remembered that right then no he doesn’t have every single one but Shigaraki came out with a preset number of quirks by the doctor. Also the percentage is just stabilization. The process of putting quirks in them in long and painful. The doctor puts his subjects in suspended animation so their bodies can naturally heal and adapt to the power. The Nomu that came out weren’t fully stabilized but as they continued moving the pier bodies started to become more accustomed to their power and got stronger.
I don't know how everyone missed that. That was literally explained last chapter. And the nomu thing aswell.
