As a kid I remembered being able to identify grandpa's boat coming up the river from a distance, the spray off the hull was very unique back in the 60's. Ours has the volvo penta I/O.
Thanks! I try to incorporate that old footage as much as I can in these. I literally have hours upon hours of it, scanned from a whole box of film reels. Sometimes it's hard to choose what to put in there :)
Brock those are pumping water fine. You can tell by the water being sucked up by the lack of leakage at the muffs. Do not attempt to change those pumps. Doing electric shifts are way over your head. Talk to me first if you insist on doing it.
We shall see what happens.....as underqualified as I am, we do like to live dangerously over here at Retro Grade. We're not smart people 😅 I did figure I was missing something when checking, during shooting of the video. Not only is the water not leaking at the muffs, but it's coming out of the outlet as dictated by the owner's manual (maybe I just should have looked at that during that time....but that would have made too much sense!) Stay tuned 😂
If I recall, I was the last one to run those motors in August 2018…the water pumped fine then 😂
I had forgotten about that, that's right! The last one to use them is the one who's responsible...thanks for owning up!
Great boat and motors!
They certainly are, thanks!!!

Nice! Probably would still be able to do today, as any 60's boat sticks out from most of the stuff out on the water :)
Sure love this boat and story. That trailer gets me every video.
LOL, Yep ..
