The life experiences of people determine what they find romantic or not, many people think that the trope enemies to lovers are the sanest and most romantic way to portray a romance or life, but as somebody that has lost people close to me in a relationship or helping in the Women's shelter and hear their past experiences. I don't understand them, people that idolize that king of romance. But I can almost assure you for the books, Leigh Bardugo comments, and work schedule of the actors, that Mal and Alina are endgame. We will not live a star wars situation again.
I watched the Show first and I liked Alina and the Darkling more, because of their chemistry and then I read the books and definitely changed my mind to...... Nikolai
i get you sis i really do. but one thing is that as Alina is my fave in the show, I still have to pick Mal, hear me out because he actually wants the same life as her. Nikolai is for me ther dream boat for Alina (also for me personally lol so very biased pick) but if you look into alinas dreams, wants and goals and where she wants to end up it really is mal that can give her the happy end. Alina would get sick and tired with royal buinsness and pressurea and games and would hate for her kids to end up living in golden cages and having enemimes and users around them. Alina literally just wants to chill ever since she was a kid. She wants her peace and being a queen would not give her that. also she wants to help people but she doesnt want to be a ruler, she is also not the ruler type which is fine, not every girl wants to be a queen or a princess. So mal it is really. But still I support your ship as long as it isnt the darkling he literally gives me anxiety bro, i cried so much when he forced her and controlled her powers i was physically sick. also Nikolai is best boy and i will fight anyone if he dies.@@ersetzbares_crewmitglied247

Thats why I like the: meeting, becoming friends and then lovers more. But in the end Mal was probably really best for her
It kills me that almost no one can see the real relationship between them and then the series followed through with that in making all that "want to make sure it's MY choice" did it ever occur to anyone that Choice and Destiny could be I don't know intertwined? Because if their paths realign then that is still DESTINY/Twinflames. Also, this is entirely their song. I need more videos of them, can I count on you for that? 😂 I love how you followed the song and their story so perfectly in a light-heart form, it's so warm. It makes me happy unlike that ending. I need to read the books but there are differences I like in the series versus the books. Thank you for making this!
Well, going off interviews with Jessie it does seem like the goal is for them to reunite. After a load of character development and getting to grow as people, first.

I feel like splitting up to find yourself and coming back together is incredibly over done and isn't necessarily how it works in relationships all the time, in fact I'd say its rare that people who split up end up back together. Now though that would be neat to see, I think it'd be equally neat to just have two people who were driven by the other to pursue their individual goals- cheer each other on while doing so. Splitting up isn't the only way people can grow into themselves and I feel that type of relationship deserves more attention. Long Distance, it's hard but it can work with communication and such. Being together doesn't mean the couple is always together- now THAT is unrealistic.
I've read only the first book and haven't seen the show yet, but it seems they changed a lot. Can somebody tell me why is here another story with Inej and kaz? when do they appear, in what book?
