My TF's last relationship before me lasted 8 years. They were best friends before and maybe that's the reason why they had a long relationship. Then he met me, online. I remember he was telling how at first they were having issues and I think he was confused himself trying to convince himself that his relationship with her was fine. but later told me he still has feelings for her. I asked him if he was in love with her. He told me he had “love for her”. So much intensity between me and him. Even when it feels like the end with them it’s not. 😢❤
No worries, we heal in layers and sometimes it takes some "time" to uncover and heal everything to fully release this from your life. For me it klicked when I stopped giving that relationship power and focused on my healing ❤️
