Absolutely beautiful machine. Incredible design and unreal build. I’ve always been very impressed with Scout boats. It would be awesome to see her flying out of Haulover or Jupiter one day!
If you wanna see waste go look at the hcb 65. N someone actually bought that boat so I'm sure a scout 67 will find an owner. Personally I'd be fine with the scout 530 n there's plenty of them out there so all the bugs n durability testing is out of the way n scout won't hit you up every time there's a boat show so they can show off the boat
looking at it , i would bet the farm this is a modified or an evolution of a fountain boat . the lines , the step pad bottom and notched transom seal the deal .
Fountain did not invent the stepped hull, pad bottom, or notched transom. They were the first or one of the firsts to utilize all or some of them on high-performance offshore boats. Alison boats had the first Pad V bottom in the 60's, notched transom in mid 70's. These were on smaller high speed lake/calmer water bass and speed boats. As far as stepped hulls those have been around for over 100yrs but micheal peters designed and patented some offshore powerboat stepped hulls since late 70's early 80's. He worked with many builders. So saying this hull is an evolution of fountains design is not really right. They do both have interesting lines though. To me Fountain has always looked like an elongated frown with Scout almost having a swoosh design. Interesting boats.
I would love to see updates on this boat not very everyday blue colored guy says it's myself would ever be able to afford one I still like to see the floor plans of new boats!
Fun to look at but very impractical ! A 67 foot playtoy that says I have more motors than you do , plus , look at me , I have a big boat with 4000 pounds hanging on the back ! Why not just buy a real sportfisher ? To me this is a joke boat !
Faster, lighter, easier to operate and maintain than an inboard diesel-powered equivalent. Both types have their pros and cons depending on what the owner is looking for. This boat will be able to do things and go places a 67 foot sporty can't even dream about.
@@buzzerlinger-ford Are you high? Easier to maintain? LMAO!! What exactly will this boat be able to do and where will it be able to go that a 70' Sporty can't? I can't wait to hear the answer.
This boat is a complete joke!! WHO in their right mind would buy one of these? This is nothing more than a vanity project by Steve Potts, the owner of Scout. They might sell 2 or 3 but after the novelty wears off, NO ONE will buy one of these.

This is the stuff dreams are made of. Great video review. I'm looking forward to seeing more updates as this yacht gets finished.
Incredible machine! Keep the updates coming!

Except for the Gulf Cruiser 70' Outboard.
As near as we're aware, full construction has not begun on the 70 Outboard. When it's built, it'll be bigger. The Scout is actually being built now.

Well, they've sold like 50 or 60 53' versions..let me guess?...you use to work for Scout and went to Freeman or Key West?

Are you kidding me? No one in their right mind would buy this boat. Plus, it's a Scout, so you know they're built like crap.
WHO is going to buy this boat? What a joke.
Your acting like you can afford it😂

Looks like a fountain. Two inboard 1550s would make it look better and be more useful at the transom.
