it does affect the engine,wears out faster if u want it to last a little longer with this cdi put a bigger main jet in the carburetor,i recommend 115 jet

Bro you are kinda destroying ur engine 12,000 rpm is too much for pulsar ns ur engine cdi is designed as per the vehicle diagnosis limitations if u rev too much it can cause cylinder damage or ur piston rings can break it's a single cylinder vehicle don't rev it that much.. drive safely

Very much so, you only install a cdi when you plan to or intend to install a big bore kit. A big bore kit requires the cdi so you can adjust the unlocked power.

I need help with the cdi modes I own a Apache 180 I’ve installed cdi and big bore kit from Nmw but I don’t see much in top end is it because of the modes or should I upgrade the carburetor
its not good to go after redline limit of an engine, that limitation on rpm is not for reducing bike speed ,if u want more speed u can change sprocket ratios,at that rpm pistons not able to handle stress due to sudden reciprocations,engine may damage, and may be backwheel lock at 140 bave speed

As he mentioned, the one installed is a semi automatic CDI, with 8 modes. Tuning will only help find what suits you best

Do we nee to change the valve springs? Since we are going up to 12000+ rpm, value floating issue may comes in to picture.because stock springs may not be designed for higher 12000+ RPMs..

sir My BS4 ns 200 self start work perfectly in morning... when i cover 1 km its start misfiring in 2-4k rpm,then when i try to start after above 5 min break,it wont start perfectly.after some try it will start.. i clocked around 30000 km. i just changed vaccum piston and 3 spark plug... could you please tell me what the possible reason is?
