She’s always a welcome visitor and I always enjoy her impromptu after dinner concerts when she’ll sing us a few songs accompanying herself on the ukulele. She does a wonderful Sarah Vaughn. She’s a family treasure ❤❤❤
I know what you mean. Last night I was catching up on Brexit and the American election fiasco when, I suppose, I clicked on some suggestion or other and found myself in Spain watching Andrea Motis. From there to Paris where I discovered the Avalon Jazz Band with Titania Eva-Marie. Two originals, also whom i"ve never before heard of before but who blew me away.

This may be the best presentation of this song I have ever heard. This voice is perfect, jazzy, emotional, sneaking into the listener’s soul . . . I need more of this voice!
This voice is the perfect jazz female voice. There is a huskiness in the low notes, airiness when needed, perfect dynamics. To make it even harder the chord progressions make this song extremely challenging. From one to ten, this gets a 12. (you cannot see me, but at the end I stood and clapped.)

Truly a classic.

Yesterday, this Sinne Eeg suddenly popped up in my TH-cam. Never heard of her. Started the video... the moment she started singing shivers went all over my body... gorgeous. How right you are. The ability to get the phrasing just right is a gift unto itself. Not only did she get that right, she expressed all the feeling behind it. This is actually a very challenging song. Wonderful performance.
So amazing. I never thought I would find another beautiful version of this song as Dusty Springfield's. What a perfect pitched voice, such a beautiful instrument.

man! the best version ive heard yet! a song should be dissected first and foremost by its lyrics. and this is poetry at its best! second is its adaptation into music... which is breathtaking and leaves nothing more to be desired!
Written back in the 70s when they only had records and radio and the lyrics sold the song. But now you can flick from song to song in an instant. And it's all in the beat these days to sell the song. Quick catchy stuff. So the lyrics have suffered badly.
Perfect phrasing , sultry , powerful voice from a soulful singer. Love her.
❤Absolutely ! ❤
This is how I always imagined this song would sound. Her tone, vocal and breath control, her stage presence, her pianist...this is musical perfection.

Oh yeah this is how it should be sung!

Her singing voice is a lullaby of human soul
Round, like a circle in a spiral,
like a wheel within a wheel,
Never ending or beginning
on an ever-spinning reel,
Like a snowball down a mountain
or a carnival balloon,
Like a carousel that's turning, running rings around the moon,
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
past the minutes of its face,
And the world is like an apple whirling silently in space,
Like the circles that you find
in the windmills of your mind
Like a tunnel that you follow
to a tunnel of its own,
Down a hollow to a cavern
where the sun has never shone,
Like a door that keeps revolving
in a half-forgotten dream,
Or the ripples from a pebble someone tosses in a stream,
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
past the minutes of its face,
And the world is like an apple whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
in the windmills of your mind
Keys that jingle in your pocket, words that jangle in your head,
Why did summer go so quickly? Was it something that you said?
Lovers walk along a shore
and leave their footprints in the sand,
Is the sound of distant drumming just the fingers of your hand?
Pictures hanging in a hallway
and the fragment of a song,
Half-remembered names of faces but to whom do they belong?
When you knew that it was over
you were suddenly aware,
That the autumn leaves were turning
to the colour of her hair,
Like a circle in a spiral,
like a wheel within a wheel,
Never ending or beginning,
on an ever-spinning reel,
As the images unwind ( feel)
like the circles that you find,
In the windmills of your mind.
Thank you.

I love jazz so much, the genre that writes itself.
She is a fabulous singer with a superb backing musicians.
Her voice continues echoed in my head then my heart... and finally my cheeks got wet as suddenly realized again and again, time is passing by quick... lord, let there be a start over so I could repent all my sins.... love and be loved

God blessed this young lady. So deep heart felt beautiful lyrics that must equal beautiful velvet voice as she has. 😪 The musicians are absolutely part of this beautiful piece. For without one of the three. The impact is lost.
She made my day, week, month.......😢. Touched in every corner of my being.

man! the best version ive heard yet! a song should be dissected first and foremost by its lyrics. and this is poetry at its best! second is its adaptation into music... which is breathtaking and leaves nothing more to be desired!
and that' why rap will always be shit!
Written back in the 70s when they only had records and radio and the lyrics sold the song. But now you can flick from song to song in an instant. And it's all in the beat these days to sell the song. Quick catchy stuff. So the lyrics have suffered badly.
I hope Marilyn Bergman heard this before her death, and that Alan has heard it.
A refreshing voice amidst these crazy times.
A beautiful rendition of this beautiful song! A touch of class!
So absolutely beautiful, your voice is like silk, dreamy, haunting, and lovely. Thank you for blessing us with your voice.
Without a doubt... the best version of this beautiful song!!
