Clara Thomas was the first lead on "In The Morning". She was a former member of the Gospel Pearls (Bessie Griffin). This is Clara Ward leading "Will The Circle Be Unbroken."
now this is funny. I was just playing this during church today. I don't know why this song came to me... my pastor mentioned something about a circle and i started playing this song softly
My Lord Clara sannng that song...she got me I almost went in went she said "Lawd have mercy"@3:30 that was getting to good to her spirit a reassurance that the circle will never be unbroken
yeah okay listen to a song that have agnes in the back sing then listen to a song that has mildred in the back.you'll be like 8D. but look at 8D side ways lol
I honestly don't hear it, but that's just me and my ears. Lol! Mildred's voice had a higher pitch and she really didn't have a lower register. Agnes' voice was stronger and more operatic and she could sing the chest notes, as well as high. They both contributed a great deal to the soprano sound of the Ward Singers for sure. :-)
