They were my favorite show at Disneyland. I saw many of their appearances at the Golden Horseshoe. The last show was unbelievable. Agnes sang How Great Thou Art for me. She was wonderful.
I've always loved the Clara Ward singers I have all of that albums I was a big fan of the ward singers you know they went places other gospel singers didn't go I love this because God want us to go everywhere and spread the gospel and that's what they did this is truly a treat so wonderful
I remember when this aired on TV. I grew up in a holiness household lol in Chicago. Only things we waiting TV was jubilee showcase, and whatever TV program Mahalia Jackson, Bessie griffin, and the Wards were on lol
What intense performances these ladies gave! It seemed just when they were about to let the audience relax, they suddenly would get an extra jolt of the spirit and cut loose again. Amazing how acrobatic they were in their dancing and stomping- especially considering them dealing with evening gowns, high heels and towering hairdos! BTW, Miss Ward was a mentor and inspiration to the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin herself!
The first lead singer.... that wig was holding on by faith 😇😇

What's her name ?
@@TyonnaKeyz The one and only Malvilyn Statham!
Gospel on Playboy TV! Only in 1968!!! Definitely what TV needs today for sure!!!
True but imagine what shock this was in ‘68. They wouldn’t tolerate that in ‘24 lol
As a young girl, she. At Disneyland, I LOVED watching The Clara Ward Gospel Singers ...they were AWESOME!
They had a very unique way of praise. Very entertaining. They truly brought the church to unique places.
Good way to put it

You kinda have to be very open minded with this. After all this is the playboy mansion. It's the equivalent of a pastor preaching at a strip club.
Yep, Reginald, those ladies showing us all how to walk the walk of respect, filled with a different kind of "Spirit". Awesome!
This show was recorded at a television station not at the Playboy mansion
Hello. Did they appeared at the Playboy Club in this broadcast?
Playboy had a program. It was recorded in a Hollywood studio decorated to look like a club.
Clara didn’t miss a beat on that tambourine 🤦🏼♂️
