Wildcat Fire grows to more than 13,000 acres, closure continues for part of Tonto National Forest

  • A wildfire, named the Wildcat Fire, sparked in the Tonto National Forest Saturday, leading to the closure of Bartlett Dam Road. As of Sunday, the fire is estimated to be approximately 13,140 acres and it is currently zero percent contained, according to data from officials.

    There are pine trees that obviously burn hot as well as rocky, uneven ground so it’s not going to be out any time soon. Out of state visitor need to be mindful about discarding lite cigs out their windows. Don’t know what part of “ dry desert “ they aren’t getting.
