Loving this topic. It’s a blessing to hear because I’ve struggled with this very thing. When we are advised to renew our mind, it’s because it’ll be beneficial to all areas. Even in the areas of how we seek enjoyment.

I was waiting for this podcast since you mentioned it in the vlog, got on TH-cam and here it is! Cause I feel like I’ve been changing over night!! I still want to have fun but in my new life. I never was a huge fan of clubs, but now I see it’s community that I want and been praying for.

If you like wine, a non alcoholic brand may be a good option. The brand FRE has a line of red, white, and rosé flavors that are good and can be found at supermarkets or walmart and target.

    This podcast is 🔥🔥🔥
I do want to say I drink maybe once or twice a year & I’ve never drank with the intent to get drunk & nor have I ever been drunk. I always have my 1 to 2 drink maximum if I drink & I can be around people who are drinking & I gladly have a soda or lemonade & have a great time.

Try the brand FRE which is a non alcoholic wine line which is very good. They have white, red and rose but without the alcohol. Its a great alternative

I LOVE this conversation, it is truly anointed! Thank you for sharing your experiences. Sometimes our culture's idea of fun is just plain sinful and must be completely left behind. In my walk with God my activities have truly been more active and exercise oriented. I was a former rave lover and now I run and listen to Christian Phonk Rave Playlists ( God's Nation/ RXBORN on Spotify is Amazing!) God bless you all, I'm so excited to listen to the rest of this podcast. I'm so encouraged and edified in Jesus name!!

Such a good convo!! The dating section really made sense to me, my friend is a Jehovahs witness and it’s very common for them to date like that. Although I haven’t seen that play out in my community. She is now preparing for marriage with a guy from her church she met and went on group dates with.

I love y’all’s fire for The Lord. But question, how do you expect to get a husband without going on a date with them? The friendship route is a trustworthy route but how do expect to get a friend if you won’t even give them your phone number? Don’t over spiritualize, yes be intentional but at the same time with a guard always up you may block God’s blessing. The Bible says to seek first The Kingdom of God and His righteousness, Worship God, love your neighbors etc. As long as we are doing that we are in God’s will. We don’t need to overthink things the Bible doesn’t necessarily address like dating, just use wisdom and prayer. Personally I like the idea of setting up a group activity first, but it does not always work out meaning getting a group together. Sometimes you just gotta approach or DM. Also I would ask for an instagram before I ask for a number because that will let me observe how she carries herself. Don’t block your blessings!

I think dating really depends on the couple. Personally I like dates and getting flowers and all the dating relationship stuff. I also think that it is for ppl who are strong in their faith where they won’t slip up. And it won’t be a waste of time bc God has full control and is an intentional God.

Amani I love you doowwnn and you very much give very sound biblical advice but I do not agree with the dating topic. I agree that yes it should be brother in Christ to husband but as far as not giving your number or having no one-on-one dates, it’s not making sense. Certain very deep and important conversations won’t be able to happen when there’s a crowd of people around. How would you truly know you’re equally yoked. If with your female friends we’re able to hang out and text/call, why can’t that happen with the man that could be your future husband? I understand flee from sexual temptation but how would you know if this is even a self controlled man. You have to witness how he behaves with you. How will you know he’s going to be a good father or a provider for your family if you don’t first witness how he’s willing to spend on you. Going on a date to a restaurant does not turn sexually immoral unless you two allow it. And if he starts getting immoral atleast you will know in that very moment he’s not the one. The Lord doesn’t want us divorcing so there’s so much importance in how we get to know each other in that courting phase

My church teaches the same thing- no one on one and I believe this is the right way to date. If you are going out in a group as “friends” you get to know someone before you link up because there is no pressure. You get to see that person relaxed and see the red flags and can pull back without any feeling getting involved. Also you dont want that temptation by being in a one on one situation.

I personally don’t think God wast time. God is an intentional God. Theirs a lesson or something God wanted or you needed to learn in everything or anything . Could some lessons be avoided by wisdom? yes, But if you learning it then God wanted you to learn it. Remember everything has to go through Hod first.
