Hi Graham, thanks for all the entertaining walks you've filmed down the years. I'll still be back for reference when planning a route. I remember when there was hardly any hiking videos around and this channel was always first port of call.
The channel actually inspired me to get back out there again and six years later I'm still loving it (how can you not).
Enjoy your future walks without the pressure of needing to put something out on film and hope to run into you and your pals one day.
    All the best!

Sad news indeed Graham. I have watched them many times and they are truly amazing. Your passion and humour is clear to see.
Thank you for producing what I believe to be the best hiking videos on TH-cam-bar none.
They were a great inspiration to me as I worked my way round the Wainwrights, Outliers,Howgills and beyond (and still are).
Everything must (sadly) come to an end but you can be proud of this tremendous set of videos. And if you ever remove the videos..I will hunt you down😂😂!
Thank you so much Graham. Dave might be THE Legend but you are a Legend too mate.

Oh, such mixed emotions as I watched ‘End of an Era’ on Friday when the video was first uploaded.
Graham, you and the team have been an inspiration. Like I said in Keswick, I have followed your adventures with Dave & Bert since about 2013 and can appreciate the time you have spent, and the devotion of your life to a project that many of us have enjoyed watching.
It has been an absolute pleasure watching your exploits in all weather conditions, and amazing to actually meet you in real life for your last video.
You can now carry on with your fell walking with no pressure and enjoy all that the fells have to offer.
One final thought…………..your videos are still relevant.
Their content is honest, you come across as genuine and portray the trails and tribulations of fell walking life, whether it’s navigational errors, injuries or illness and of course the horrid weather that Cumbria can throw at us.
Oh, and if you were wondering I’m a OO analogue man specialising in the LNER.
PS. Julia Bradbury is not a patch on you. My mind is turned when she asked Sir Chris Bonington on the bench just under the summit of Castle Crag to compare it with Everest.
Not wishing to shatter the illusion, ‘mellifluous or not’ Julia (I am reliably informed) does rather enjoy a helicopter ride.
    See you out there.

Hi Graham. End of an era indeed! As Carol & myself have mentioned to you before, your videos were a huge inspiration to us and a great source of knowledge while doing the Wainwrights. Watching your adventures with Dave was really inspiring ( pass on our Best Wishes to Dave) We have had many a good night with a glass or two of wine while watching your videos, ha! ( and will continue to do so!) It was also fantastic to do some walks with you & Dave. ( That night in Kirby Stephen will live long in the memory!!) It was also your style of videos which gave me the inspiration to try and do my own videos. Your videos have always focused on the great views and scenery on the walks, which is what we like to watch. It is sad news that you have decided to call it a day with the hiking videos, but I completely understand why you have come to that decision. Hopefully we can catch up on the fells sometime. I will continue to watch your other channel and see what you get up to in the loft!!! Take care & Best Wishes from Carol & me.

We felt the more relaxed theme to each video and use of calming music was the way to go and represented how we felt on our walks. It certainly helped my mental health being out there and recounting the adventures after. I may miss doing them, time will tell, fortunately I have a back catalogue as an aide to memoir. Hi Graham, a sad day but completely understandable! For me your USP was always yours a Daves' Relationship and the challenge of you both Completing the 214, Outlying Fells and the Cumbria Way (My 3 personal series of vids) i found you during Covid when we was no longer allowed to go and must say your videos really did help get me through that time as I had serious Lake District blues. I still regularly watch your videos from around the end of the 214 and all the outlying and have even used them to help plan some of my own walks. Me and my partner always watch the video of the walk we've just done on your channel also when we get back. Hi John, thank you. Yes I was never in competition with others I suppose, but I felt my videos were now a bit samey and with other more polished videos out there and my declining viewing numbers I felt I was being left behind. The main reason for my decision though John was I was losing the enthusiasm for doing them and before they became a chore and started skipping my production values. The desire to enjoy the hiking more before like Dave, I am unable to do it any more, which is not too far down the road also. We had also noticed the novelty of us turning up in the Lakes was wearing thin in certain quarters. Nuff said. Cheers John and thanks for watching over the years and taking the time to comment 👍

I won't lie, but reading your lovely comment and those from people over the years has been a source of head scratching that we only get a few hundred views in comparison to other channels thousands. I must have been doing wrong somewhere. As I said they were not done to get views or make money, but I did find it frustrating and confusing that the kind comments and feedback did not translate into high subscription figures and views. Aw, so sorry to hear this. I only found your videos a year or so back, but have thoroughly enjoyed them and am still going through your back catalogue. I am so lucky to live in the Lake District so don't have to travel too far for a hike and I have followed your routes several times.
Thanks for all the great videos and Good Luck to you all. Might bump into you on the fells one day.

Top man. Thanks for all the videos over the years. You and your team certainly inspired me to venture into the fells.

Sorry to hear. Yes, there are some channels with more sophisticated camera work looking for views and $. However, none of them better convey your love of the LD or better document how to approach the Wainwrights. Happy trails.

An ignorant fascist wins our election and Graham steps back from TH-cam. Almost too much to deal with in two days.😊
