    Ahhhh!!!! Thank you for this! I just got a new succulent (it’s also my first plant I’ve had before) but I was worried about it not doing well! I think it has root rot but I don’t know if I should try the drying method you listed or snip the roots…. (If this plays into anything I have two cats that sometimes bite it (then get yelled at) and it’s an inside potted plant)

    I never water the soil of rootless propagations. Because, they don't have any roots, how can that water be absorbed? In my experience, prematurely watering a propagation will lead to rot. I wait until roots have grown, then I introduce water to the soil.

      Hi there, plants absorb water through their whole surface, including their roots, stems, and leaves. However, because root hairs absorb the majority of water, it is important to take good care of its roots while it matures.
      And because there is no root system to transfer nutrients and moisture into the stem, the cuttings must be watered. However, the last two most typical reasons for cutting failure are overwater or underwater. I hope you will be careful when caring for your succulents.

    My succulent has small roots
    I already repotted it awhile ago but Im wondering what I can do to encourage root growth and its an echervia

    • @SucculentsBox
      @SucculentsBox  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, you can try water them thrice a week to grow the roots healthier. Also, when you water your echeveria, make sure to soak the soil completely. Hope this helps

    The leaves of my succulent have brown spots and then they eventually fully turn black and fall off, is this from root rot?
