That pink dress is so me. I wore that look in the late 60’s and early 70’s. Who says a beautiful gown has to cost a fortune. That navy blue gown is very elegant and so beautiful.😊❤

I had a guest show up to my wedding… she was the wife of a friend of my husband. I had never met either one of them before. She had a great body, and she knew it. She had on a bright, red tight floor length dress. Just think Jessica rabbit. I was like have you ever heard of the role don’t show up the bride? Some people! 🙃

Great video--you do such an awesome job on these videos. Love that you mix high and low-end clothing. All your suggestions are great--and you may laugh when I tell you I have seen all those styles in one wedding! I was at a wedding this year--formal ceremony at a winery. After watching this video I went online and bought the pink sleeveless dress from Nordstrom… wore it last saturday for a wedding outdoors in Idaho… oh my gosh, I got so many compliments! It was perfect and so pretty… I’m 65 and it looked absolutely fine with a light pink sweater for when the sun went down.. I absolutely love this dress!!

Hi Marnie, this video is priceless. I have been looking for dresses for my daughter’s upcoming wedding. I am no where near your age or size, but I have been eyeing dress #2 for a while now to wear to the bridal luncheon. Since this dress is not lined 1. Is it comfortable? 2. Is it sheer? Also, I’m concerned about the length, it appears to be knee length on you and that’s what I need. Thank you so much for all the wedding event dress ideas!

Marnie I love these dresses and you always accessorize perfectly! A word about Eliza J dresses: they are for short-waisted ladies, similar to the Anthropologie Somerset dress. They are lovely but I can’t wear either because I am long waisted.

I have the navy Banana Factory dress (I went with petite because I was concerned about where the rouching would fall. I'm 5'4" and that was the right choice - exchange if you can!), and I cannot wait to wear it to a wedding in April and our cruise in June!

We went on a cruise last year and I needed two formal dresses. I got both of them on Amazon, neither was expensive and they were plenty nice enough. We live on an island and rarely wear anything formal so I wasn’t interested in spending too much money. Anyway, I was comfortable and felt dressed comparably to the other women, not a lot sparkle but very nice nevertheless. I’m like you though I did get a little stupid with the shoes and purses!! Oh well

The pink dress would be good for a casual wedding (what I normally get invited to) I have only been to 1 formal wedding & I was a bridesmaid.

In NY/NJ we wear gowns and cocktail dresses to most weddings
So my choice would be black one shoulder dress as that is closest to what we wear here. Or the Amazon dress
