Except his decoy was in DEF and his opponent's dinosaur monster had to attack all monsters on the field at least once. So this is a little tweak but essentially the same formula
Syrus used this in the anime against the Dino dude. The Dino dude had a monster that had to attack every weaker monster or something like that. So the loop went from there.
In the GX-anime Syrus used the same cards to defeat Hassleberry, who used an ultimate tyranno. So this combo isn't that new after all. *Oh my motherfucking childhood*
No because Ultimate Tyranno had to attack that turn. Decoyroid was on the field, so the dino had to attack it. Ambulance RescueRoid keeps on reborning it, but the official card game says "once per turn". There was also Cyber Summon Blaster to inflict burn damage.
"I would have quit a long time ago." That´s something, that bothers me by a lot of players. If your opponent pulls out some crazy combo, just let him perform it. Just have the patience to let him pull this off. He was able to perform it and he deserves to win by it. Just have a little patience. I can understand, when you quit, if your opponent is playing a Troll Deck or plays this one card, that destroys your deck, for example Macro agains Lightsworn.
HRCFre4k ikr. I similarly hate it when players quit a duel just because they got a poor starting hand. All it does is waste their opponent's time and is really annoying. Even if my starting hand is complete garbage I will still play as things may turn around and even if they don't, its polite to play out the whole thing with good grace
Yeah, indeed. I mean, it´s a game. It should be fun, even if you lose. Do your best and if that´s not enough, no problem. But you should be patient enough to let your opponent do his combo and brave enough, to start with a really bad hand. 3x Wolf in your Hand? Try to surpass your bad luck and fight a hard duel!
+HRCFre4k I only quit when I see someone is playing monarchs, they're bullshit right now and pulling a 'crazy combo' with them ain't hard so yeah, gl to them.
Why was Kuribandit able to get its effect on turn one? It's been hit by Effect Veiler which should continue negating its effect after it's been tributed. It always does when I use Effect Veiler on it anyway.
Matthew Warhurst No it doesn't, its effect activates on the field. Just because it goes to the graveyard as part of a cost doesn't mean it activates there.
Matthew Warhurst Effects resolve where they activate. That's why Soul Drain doesn't stop Effect Veiler, because its effect activates and resolves in the hand, not the Graveyard. Kuribandit's effect activates and resolves on the field, where the monster is after that is irrelevant,
Paul Okaro Actually, the loop in the anime was different, since Syrus summoned Decoyroid in defense mode and Hassleberry had Ultimate Tyranno, which was forced to keep attacking it.
Chunky Kitten Nope, the rules were legit actually (unless those were anime effects), i remember that episode clearly since i've just finished watching GX not to long ago
HA, the Roid Loop is more powerful than you realize. Well specifically if you use Dark Jeroid and Reverse Trap in the loop, making monsters stronger instead of weaker.
rhysjonsmusic I bet this deck was made by someone just who just happened to see these two effects. GX was my favorite series and cyrus was the worst character in the entire show.
omg i used to use this loop to pull it off it was stall poly into ambulance rescuroid, de-fusion into ambulanceroid and rescueroid, normal summon rescue roid getting ultimate tyranno in grave setting give and take, battle mania, and cyber summon blaster. In standby phase activate give and take giving them tyranno then activate battle mania then cyber summon blaster meaning a monster must attack aslong as it is able that turn, batlle phase cant be skipped, they must attack rescue roid over and over till game.
Cyrus literally used this loop in GX. . . x3 I am embarressed to be aware of this... It would be amazing if people didn't realise this loop existed. :P Though it's as cheesy as the madolches tag waltz.
Couldn't you do this combo with colossal fighter, DNA surgery, and cyber summon blaster? It would be kind of difficult to get the opponent a monster with more than 2800 attack while getting out the combo and being able to attack in the same turn but I think it could be done. Hell, in all honesty that might be more inefficient than this is but it's still a thought.
It's more efficient component-wise since you can get everything you need with two traps and a level 8 synchro summon but it's much harder to execute. You could probably do it with Grinder Golem or Lava Golem but it would still be pretty janky.
***** Yeah that's what I though, It'd be pretty hard to do it in the same turn because if you summon grinder or lava golem you can't normal summon during the same turn. I'd think that the deck wouldn't be focused on the otk but more focused on mass special summoning with dna surgery and cyber summon blaster out. Maybe something like zombies.
Basically, the Roid player was just mechanically arranged to duel against a really bad / inconsistent Monarch build hence player, set up everything and luckily managed to stall a single turn then "won" because of the opponent's backrow not having removal cards... Deserves to be shown off, right ?
I'm willing to accept him doing this since the point is to show off the combo for demonstrations sake. In all honestly only 4 decks are ever relevant at a time per format. Very rarely do we see anything more then that for an entire format. So no combo out side of those four (whatever they may be that format) will ever be able to consistency go off in a duel against a skilled player using a meta deck. Making it a pain recording wise. Seriously imagine having to do ten duels just to show off 1 play that most duelists don't already know about. Something that's damn near impossible to do unless its a combo born from a combination of the most recent cards and cards we haven't seen in years.
KyanbuXM It is true that Azn's motive for uploading this vid was to show off a bit, but considering how the Roid player - with the "incredible help from his opponent - was able to pull the OTK off, he won the duel in the most ironic way. All in all, the combo was nearly impractical but too inconsistent. However, your point was right, and he was using Soul Charge to win.
AznEyes... the probably only yugiohtuber, who seems be only play yugioh since Zexal... this loop is so EXTREMELY old... btw, Jinzo return doesnt miss on everything, you didnt miss it neither with Overload Fusion nor with twilight (Lightsworn), didnt play it in other decks yet tho.
Hutson Horton My comment is outdated, as Effect Veiler received an official ruling and errata change. At the time of my comment, Effect Veiler wore off during the end phase, but now it is until the end of the turn. Effect Veiler now negates Kuribandit, even though Kuribandit is in the graveyard during resolution. It has the same, old ruling has Effect Veiler vs Rescue Rabbit or Effect Veiler vs Lonefire Blossom.
You know, if rescue roid wasn't a level 6 monster, I could easily see this archtype getting a little love and support. I always quite liked them... Its why I get annoyed with the Hyper competitive cards they release now... If I wanted a hyper competitive TCG, then I'd play something like MTG, where they produce each card with the knowledge of how it will affect the "meta". In yugioh, I just want fun cool cards like these, or the deformers, or the Noble Knights, or something... To see these really cool cards, and know they'll be crucified by Shaddolls or something, is just saddening.
Haradion Drogon I got a decent roid deck just use chain material and vehicroid connection zone, add in a power bond or poly, now you can fusion the 2 super vehicroids without them being destroyed by chain mat and in other cases just do a normal fusion for otk
the mastercube I was thinking of barbaroid and the special fusion roids, cause they have nice effects, but time will tell if that's going to be a thing
you could technically use it without the burn card to just gain infinite life.... stop somewhere around 500k lifepoints and tell your opponent good luck.
flamepan Yup, breakthrough skill would have stopped kuribandit and if the opponent knew that veiler didn't work and didn't waste veiler he could have veilered one of the key roid monsters during the main phase to stop the otk and then put the monarch into defense mode or something.
Even still, Kuribandit's effect to tribute himself is a cost, which can be activated and never negated. Once tributed, his effect would resolve off of the field and Veiler would no longer negate it. On Veiler's effect it reads "negate that opponent's face-up monster's effects" so once it's no longer face-up on the field its effect may resolve normally :P AznEyes has a video where a Fiendish Chain'ed Lonefire still got to tribute itself for its effect. Costs can't be negated because they don't count as the actual effect :P
lalamike25 Yeah, no. If a monster activates its effect on the field, and tributes itself as a cost, the effect is still negated, despite not being on the field anymore. Veiler's negation follows the card to the graveyard. That's why it's worthwhile to veiler Lonefire Blossom and CardCar D, or even Stardust Dragon now that I think of it. Fiendish Chain doesn't work like that, because it has to be targeting the card its negating continuously. Once off the field, Fiendish Chain can't target the card, so its effect works. You need to learn how Veiler works if you want to play this game.
This OTK was used years ago in the anime. You're a bit late Azneyes :P
Except his decoy was in DEF and his opponent's dinosaur monster had to attack all monsters on the field at least once. So this is a little tweak but essentially the same formula
+skill392 Yeah! I remember this! This was Cyrus vs Tyranno HassleBerry!
oh my god just saw it
lmao
.
These two cards have always been able to loop. They even had it in the anime.
I think this loop was in the show :O
Cyrus used it in his duel against hastlberry in GX
Celza Yamuto " And I do play COD" just like we all though lol... Fuck Off! kiddo XD
This loop was used in gx when syrus played tyranno
Real original. They had a whole episode about this on Yugioh GX with Syrus.
(inb4 bad joke) could say this is a OTK on steROIDS...
still funny though
Summon TestosteROID
Mark Flash you just killed it
***** if u knew the monster i waas talking about... stfu
no.... you killed it.
Syrus actually used the Decoyroid strategy to beat Hassleberry in the GX anime.
Yeah, Ultimate Tyranno backfired.
Alfons McJesus "Potatoe - Potato" dude XD
This was on the GX show where Cyrus and Hassleberry are dueling to prove whos Jadens best friend.
This combo was used in gx as well
stunt94u I remember that episode, but it was never possible without the rainbow life card :P
Rainbowlife card is all new to me.
Didn't Cyrus do something very similar to this in the anime against Hastlberry?
Yes I was going to post the same
Syrus from Gx ran roids and actually did a very similar combo in one of the episodes when he was dueling to prove he was jadens real best friend.
syrus did this in gx so...... anime for the win?
What episode?
im not sure but it was in season 2 and it was againts the guy who uses the dinosaurs. i just looked it up its episode 64
YGO methlab
Thanks!
No because Ultimate Tyranno had to attack that turn. Decoyroid was on the field, so the dino had to attack it. Ambulance RescueRoid keeps on reborning it, but the official card game says "once per turn". There was also Cyber Summon Blaster to inflict burn damage.
didn't Syrus(sho) pull this off in the anime (minus the soul charge)
Cyrus did this in gx with the fusion only his opponent had ultimate tyranno which attacked it over and over again do to it's effect
An underrated arch type and glad to see someone else playing it.
This loop is very old, it was used by sirus in the gx series, but soul charge makes it much faster.
Deck List?
Wasn't there a lop in the GX series involving Blaster?
Cyrus did this to Hassleberry in Yu-Gi-Oh GX
does this loop no longer work? I was testing it on ygopro for shits and giggles but every time ambulanceroid wont activate
Sho Marufuji Rules xD
I've attempted this same loop before, but ambulanceroid doesn't special summon it. Can anyone help?
um syrus did the same exact loop on gx
This was in the show (gx) using the exact same cards . ..
Oh hey the combo cyrus used in the show to win one time hurp durp gg.
"I would have quit a long time ago."
That´s something, that bothers me by a lot of players. If your opponent pulls out some crazy combo, just let him perform it. Just have the patience to let him pull this off. He was able to perform it and he deserves to win by it. Just have a little patience.

+HRCFre4k I only quit when I see someone is playing monarchs, they're bullshit right now and pulling a 'crazy combo' with them ain't hard so yeah, gl to them.
that's exactly the kind of thing that annoys me. Its not like monarchs are unbeatable so don't just quit.
Except they kind of are if you're playing a certain type of deck. In the very least they are extremely annoying and overly overpowered currently.
Why was Kuribandit able to get its effect on turn one? It's been hit by Effect Veiler which should continue negating its effect after it's been tributed. It always does when I use Effect Veiler on it anyway.
It's because it's effect activates in the graveyard
Matthew Warhurst
No it doesn't, its effect activates on the field. Just because it goes to the graveyard as part of a cost doesn't mean it activates there.
The cost of activation is the tribute, and therefore, with Kuribandit now in the graveyard, it's effect resolves there
Matthew Warhurst
Effects resolve where they activate. That's why Soul Drain doesn't stop Effect Veiler, because its effect activates and resolves in the hand, not the Graveyard. Kuribandit's effect activates and resolves on the field, where the monster is after that is irrelevant,
***** Effect Veiler doesn't apply in the end phase.
yeah this was in the TV Yu-Gi-Oh GX! Season 2 so its not original.
we need another roid structure deck this is one of my favorite archetypes
Same
Roids actually topped a regionals surprisingly not that far back
vehicroid connection zone used to be an op card because there weren't many good spells/traps/or effects to block it.
That's hilarious I was thinking of trying to make roofs for fun bet never woulda thought of those traps, hope a deck profile comes soon
Dude they did this exact loop in GX man brush up on some anime
Paul Okaro Actually, the loop in the anime was different, since Syrus summoned Decoyroid in defense mode and Hassleberry had Ultimate Tyranno, which was forced to keep attacking it.
cyrus from gx did this exact same combo against hassleberry
This Deck ws used in the Anime with those 3 Roids +1 cyber
Rainbow Life Used By Johan in GX
always nice to see someone use effect veiler on a kuribandit
cyrus(GX's joey) did this. I think it was against tyrano hassleberry
this move was from yugioh gx. cyrus truesdale used this loop
Syrus uses this OTK in the anime against Tyranno
Someone actually pulled off the OTK he used in the show hahahha
That was in the yugioh GX tv show
I like this combo. It's not like the other otks where you special summon 998999998 monsters while this one is easy to understand.
didn't they do this combo in the anime
This was the loop that Syrus use in the GX anime.
Didn't use rainbow life though, and he did it on his opponents turn :P
He did do it on hasslberry's turn didn't he. But he did pull a bit of a Seto Kaiba and screw the rules.
Chunky Kitten Nope, the rules were legit actually (unless those were anime effects), i remember that episode clearly since i've just finished watching GX not to long ago
No, hasslberry could have called off the attack whenever in real yugioh plus his tyranno attacked like 400 times in one turn
Ultimate tyranno has to declare and attack on all monsters. There is no option to call it off
Wasn't he using black tyranno?
wouldn't messenger of peace be better than gravity bind also cards like waboku would help just my thought
HA, the Roid Loop is more powerful than you realize. Well specifically if you use Dark Jeroid and Reverse Trap in the loop, making monsters stronger instead of weaker.
didn't that blue haired kid in the duel academy use roids?
yeah cyrus
He used this combo (not rainbow life) to win a duel in the show.
Ahh good times in GX lol, oh and its Syrus =)
And yeah this combo is old news, the dude did it himself in the show, poor Hassleberry lol
fivedudes i bet'cha this deck was inspired by that episode
rhysjonsmusic I bet this deck was made by someone just who just happened to see these two effects. GX was my favorite series and cyrus was the worst character in the entire show.

Though it's as cheesy as the madolches tag waltz.
Sort of. He used Decoyroid to force a Black Tyranno to keep attacking, so it's kind of the other way around.
What is the name of the dueling network that u use And can u get me a deck list for riod otk
Looks like Azn is...(shades) ROID RAMPAGING! YEAAAAAA
so oldddddddddd deck i remember seeing a roid otk like 5 years ago
That's right. Any archetype can be a great archtype.

Didn't syrus actually pull this out of his ass once in the show?
This was done in the anime btw
i have already seen this trick in the GX anime
Why not use Ambulancerescueroid?
Syrus did this in GX vs this guy called hassleberry
This was used in the anime!!
Roids are underrated even without this loop
Syrus Already did this derp
Hahaha! An OTK from the show.
Roids aren't bad. IF you use power bond and put in a bunch of protecting spells/traps they can demolish
Quit? Are you kidding me? I would be honored to lose to this loop
Lol syrus actually used this loop in the anime
Basically, the Roid player was just mechanically arranged to duel against a really bad / inconsistent Monarch build hence player, set up everything and luckily managed to stall a single turn then "won" because of the opponent's backrow not having removal cards... Deserves to be shown off, right ?

has anyone been working on a millzodia deck recently?
AznEyes = Dyrus
Dyrus from TSM??
Scott J. Fox Damn right. He is Rango, that's just down right Darius
Why is soul charge ok?!
Can we get a deck profile on it
Anybody ever notice that card that break the game aren't once per turn....
same trick was used in the anime....
Was already showed in the show. Awesome nonetheless... :>
I play roids. Yeah.
This was kinda in the anime.
Yeah syrup gets one of his only wins from this loop
Anyone got a deck profile for this?
AznEyes... the probably only yugiohtuber, who seems be only play yugioh since Zexal... this loop is so EXTREMELY old...
btw, Jinzo return doesnt miss on everything, you didnt miss it neither with Overload Fusion nor with twilight (Lightsworn), didnt play it in other decks yet tho.
effect veiler and breakthorugh negate kuribandit in the same way they negate cardcar d. devpro screwed up.
Effect Veiler doesn't work on effects that activate in the end phase.
zackolot It does work, but the effect resolved in the grave, so it did work.
Hutson Horton My comment is outdated, as Effect Veiler received an official ruling and errata change. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. props to the guy who sent this into azneyes very funny to watch this happen.
You know, if rescue roid wasn't a level 6 monster, I could easily see this archtype getting a little love and support.
I always quite liked them...
Its why I get annoyed with the Hyper competitive cards they release now... Haradion Drogon I got a decent roid deck just use chain material and vehicroid connection zone, add in a power bond or poly, now you can fusion the 2 super vehicroids without them being destroyed by chain mat and in other cases just do a normal fusion for otk
well, arc v gave it a sub archetype. Speedroids........ *snicker snicker giggle giggle*
Ray Fanning let's hope we get more speedroids and hope they work with regular roids
***** actually speedroids can be much faster so you would be better using roid cards for speedroid deck
the mastercube I was thinking of barbaroid and the special fusion roids, cause they have nice effects, but time will tell if that's going to be a thing
Do you have a profile of this deck?
im working on one but i cant identify one of the cards, its the one that was shown twice in a row by kuribandit if anyone knows it please tell me
Let me check on that, okay?
Not a tour worthy combo, but it's nice to see the Roids again.
deck profile??
you could technically use it without the burn card to just gain infinite life.... stop somewhere around 500k lifepoints and tell your opponent good luck.
this could be more awesome if the other guy was using a Dinosaurs on this duel
Loved this one turn OTK
did anyone notice that in the first 15 seconds a veilered kuribandit got its effect off i thought veiler negates grave effs
it only negates until end phase and thats when kuribandits effect goes off, part of the reason why veiler isnt as great anymore
flamepan why are lightsworn effs negated by veiler then
flamepan Yup, breakthrough skill would have stopped kuribandit and if the opponent knew that veiler didn't work and didn't waste veiler he could have veilered one of the key roid monsters during the main phase to stop the otk and then put the monarch into defense mode or something.

Costs can't be negated because they don't count as the actual effect :P
lalamike25 Yeah, no. If a monster activates its effect on the field, and tributes itself as a cost, the effect is still negated, despite not being on the field anymore. You need to learn how Veiler works if you want to play this game.
I play roids without otks (I also beat a lot of people with them), so what is so wrong with roids.
Its crazy how similar you sound to tmartn
You could also use "Begon, Knave" or something like that.
Orissa are the best i love them. I've won many duels with toooooo
It is easier to pull off if you poly rescue and ambulance into ambulance rescueroid so you don't have to get rescue on the battlefield
ambulance rescueroid's effect only activates once per turn though. defusing it might help though.
Dat burn doe
4:48 It Certainly IS NOT..., Roid machines are still fun and great to play.
Any machine deck is great and fun to play
