    Jimmy is retired from his biggest gig, but once again, he becomes the lion. He knows he could steal the show, but he's being respectful as a guest artist. Such confidence, energy, and effortless mastery. You can see him holding back so hard. He's the monster of rock guitar, and he's letting these "youngsters" have their piece of the pie. He's had it all and done it all, and he's still a nice guy. Again, it is the legend.

      In the video that shows them preparing for this gig, Tyler and Perry are all over the place.... disorganized, don't have a set list and just a mess. Page comes in and asks for the list. They continue to babble on with no direction. He finally says to them "just give me the que." And leaves as if to say...give me the que, I'm that f'ing good. It's hysterical to watch.

      @@catherinekennedy6720that's bc Jimmy Page is Joe's idol& Robert Plant is Steven's, actually Page&Plant asked those 2 to induct them into the R&R Hall of Fame,Joe& Steven both got a bit chocked up a few times.

    Throughout the 50+ years of Aerosmith Tyler and Perry have always been center stage and in the spotlight. In this clip they share that spotlight with Jimmy Page, but man is Brad Whitford underrated. Give that man his flowers.

      Back in the day, Perry played a badass humbucker guitar--Whitford played that familiar Telecaster (not here, though). Double-lead, rythym-lead: Wicked smart setups for then....

      I was 15 in 1979. I was so lucky to have friends and my older brother turn me on to great music. Most were first time peeling the plastic off of albums with crazy anticipation. Like Aerosmith Toys in the Attic or AC/DC Back in Black. My older friends gave me 8 Tracks Get your Wings and Bad Co Straight Shooter. I literally played them until they wouldn't anymore. Good Times

      DOUGLAS HOTCHKISS Also saw Zep in ‘68, in Boston, Zep’s 1st U.S. tour, wow, heavy and evil, Page in his easily twenties shrieking like a banshee, Bonzo bonkers double toms, and Page, well, a Rock God, among the highest.

    How cool is this? The Yardbirds covered this song back in the late 60's, Aerosmith made it a classic. I didnt know Brad Whitford was such a rocking guitarist, awesome. To bad there isnt an 11 thumbs up rating I could click.

    • @norms3913
      @norms3913 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually it's a old jazz song from 1951 before the Yardbirds remade it and a country music star remade it later in the 50s

    • @jimlamanna9712

      flewggle This song was the very first song Page, Plant, Jones, Bonham ever rehearsed in their first jam session in Jimmy's London apartment in 1968

    Every now and then when I really need to hear some guitar filth, matched with a very fun riff to play along to; I reach for this clip. Yardbirds version recording at Sun Studios and the rockabilly version by Johnny Burnette, then all the way back to 1951 for the swinging Tiny Bradshaw original; come next in close succession ~ I like them all, top notch song ~
