i've always heard that the Yaris is a great first car for a new driver, it's relatively cheap, easy to fix, great in short drive and long drive, it doesn't burn through your fuel a lot, my only issue with those Yaris are the quality of the car you can buy them, a yaris in my country is between 1400€ and 1800€ ( 1st gen yaris) they have a lot of wear on the car, lot of miles.. just have to find a good one
If you take care of it, the Yaris is a tank. Bear in mind that it's still a very old small car (small cars aren't build to last that long) and there will be repairs. And corrosion - most if not all of them are "adults" and corrosion (which is a weak point for Japanese cars) will almost certainly be present
Moje pierwsze służbowe auto, jeździliśmy nim we 3 na zmianę, młode chłopaki, nie wiem jak koledzy, ale ja ją katowałem ile wlezie. Znosiła dzielnie. Choć wszyscy się z niej śmialiśmy, że takie byle co, brzydkie, zaprzeczenie motoryzacji... to po latach mam coraz większy szacunek do tego auta. By the way it’s my baby, but I have it hé one from ‘02 also 3 doors all in grey in 1.3 VTT-i 86HP The only issue I have is that I have trouble to turn the wheels at slow speed (typically at 1st and 2nd speed) It has electrical steering assist but when I ask to people that know about cars they tell me that it’s an old car so that’s why the steering is hard because it’s used But… I’m sure there is something to fix it But I’m not into mechanic so I have very poor knowledge about it And when I ask them of it’s maybe my battery that must be changed because it has 300-ish Amps instead of the native 520 Amps they say it’s not that
