Rick, this day has been a long time coming. I rhink im about as excited as you are to see a garage with a smooth floor. Hope you and jamie are doing well
Rick, I know I can't be as happy as you are 🎉🎉🎉 but I'm as happy as non-you can be!!! Can't wait to see you turning wrenches in your warm workspace. Luv ya Brother!
I’m so happy for you and Jamie, I can already see the awesome videos coming up. Yeah I’ll be here watching well until next time. Peace and chicken grease😁👍👍👋👋😎
👍👍 awesome Rick I just walked in from work. It was a long day today put in 22 windows in the last three days, have to go back now and trim the outside in aluminum. Super cool the floors are poured. Yeah you’re getting close dude I’m here watching 5:13 PM Thursday, December 19.👍👍
Looking good Rick! Thank you for sharing your journey of the Classic Truck Ranch. I've been following you since the beginning of the ranch and I always enjoyed every video you shared. So happy for you and Jamie.
Rick, We all feel the incredible excitement too. A lot of us are long time viewers who have followed the journey since the beginning and many points in between. Merry Christmas. 2025 will be an exciting year in many ways for us all.
You know Lou, I was actually thinking about that the day they poured the floors. Its got to be at least somewhat satisfying to watch this all coming together for the long-time Viewers who have been with us on this journey. Thanks for sticking it out and hanging in there.
Wow! We know how much work went into getting this far. Absolutely wonderful to see the progress you have made. I have no doubt you are on cloud nine. What a wonderful Christmas gift! Wishing you and your family a blessed Christmas.
We are so very grateful. Its been a long road, but its coming together. Thank you for sharing this journey with us, I know you've been watching for a long time and we appreciate that.
So the Shop in a Box finally goes back in the box - or maybe a dumpster, after all the beatings it's taken:) Congrats on having a nice warm, flat place to work. You don't realize how much that takes the "ouch" out of working on something, until it's gone.
Thank you Nelson. Its so awesome to just be able to stand on concrete and be warm under a roof. I am so happy and seeing Jamie's excitement is the icing on the cake.
Such great progress! I'm so happy for you both. This is going to be a wonderful home for you. All the best to you and Jamie, and of course your furry and feathered kids. Merry Christmas!
Looks awesome rick proud for you and Jamie yall worked very hard for it. Praise the Lord yall have come along ways And have a Merry Christmas my friend peace out❤❤
Wondering WHY they didn't put any Rebar or Chicken Wire down before pouring that Concrete on the Garage floor ? Aren't they concerned about it cracking in teh future ??
A versatile mix, fiber-reinforced concrete can be used for slab on grade and pavements without the increased cost of using rebar. This versatility is due to the wide range of fibers available in different shapes, dimensions, lengths, and compositions.
@@ClassicTruckRescue I have been away from this concrete laying for about 20 years, and I forgot that fibers was coming in even then, we poured floor in buildings with out any wire... but even I was like what no rebar?😉👍✌👌
*Kia ora Rick & Jamie 🙂Wow the two garage floors are looking awesome.🙂Meri Kirihimete (Merry Christmas) to you both & all your family. Kia kaha (stay strong), be well and be safe out there on the roads over the silly xmas season.🙂🎄🎄🎄NZ*
With all the fill they put in the garages and no mesh or rebar those floors are gonna Crack, p.s the concrete in front of the garage is gonna block your underground power where it goes up into the meter🫣🫣
Rick definitely get the dirt higher against the house so water flows away from it is a must do!!! Can’t believe how great everything is looking can’t wait for the video of you putting the tools into the garage!!! I’m a little ahead of everything but you really need a lift in the big shop you’re not getting younger and it’ll save your body parts for the future!!! My mind is racing with thoughts of things I want to say and can’t convey them into this now because of my joy of seeing the progress being made around the ranch!!! Just in case we don’t get to see you have a Merry Christmas 🎄 and Happy New Year 🎊🎈🎆!!! And don’t forget to tell Jamie and Annabella the same!!see you in the next one P out ✌️👍!!!
Definitely a couple lifts in the big shop Henry. Homie's not getting any younger. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours from all of us out here on The Classic Truck Ranch.
The plan is to build it in a way that blends it in with the existing sections, but also enhances the "Great Room" we will be creating in the center of the home. Yes, I will be doing it myself.
That was a proper "Glory Job" day when it all finally comes together and suddenly " There it is". Did the concrete have the fiber strand in it. Now its a worry to try and not spill anything on the new floor.
Yes, strands in the concrete. I already decided I'm not going to worry about stains on the floor. I did catch myself chopping some firewood inside and I made a decision that there is a "No Chopping wood or beating on metal" on either garage floor.
Darren, you have obviously missed a LOT of the videos in this series. I will sum it up. We cut the house right down the middle at the front door. The center of the house is where the living room was. Bedrooms and bathrooms were not affected as they are all on the right side. Kitchen, dining room and garage were unaffected as they were on the left. We made the new foundation 20-feet wider than the old foundation in the center. Now I will build the "Great Room" in the center of the house.
@ClassicTruckRescue that what I thought rick you were going to build something nice too see you're so close good on you and Jamie I noticed you poured one solid floor in thd garage no relief lines I.e when the frost heaves there's a bit kf room for portions too move without cracking the cement here in canada we have too take things like that into consideration like a cross in the center?
@ClassicTruckRescue just for shits and giggles you two should renew your vows in your new house with close friends around you kind of like a totally new beginning no big expense just a good BBQ pay a couple bucks to someone to perform the ceremony just a good day showcasing your new house too your friends and family and possibly all of us subscribers get the royal tour just think Rick if you did renew your vows you could get some good wedding presents I.e home products you might need that's a damn good idea Rick
Awesome one step closer to moving in, slowly but surely. How up to date are these videos? Are you showing this, but it's filmed a few months ago? We curious nosey people want to know :) I know adding the center section of the house will be perfect when done, but it's one more thing to do before you move in..Not a dig at you but knowing myself sometimes I bite off more than I can chew! I guess, it's better this way otherwise you won't always say I should have added a section to the house for the next few decades! Can't win it seems! But you will get it done with God's help and the good people he sends your way, that's why he kept me far from you lol.. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
I have no regrets on adding the 20-feet to the center of the house. It would've taken a considerable amount of work and materials just to replace the 5-feet we removed when cutting it in half so it would fit going down the road. What's the difference between building 5 feet back in or building 20 feet back in? Answer, 15-more feet of materials and a little extra effort. Regrets won't be a factor.
Here's my generic response for all of the people who made rebar comments. ....A versatile mix, fiber-reinforced concrete can be used for slab on grade and pavements without the increased cost of using rebar. This versatility is due to the wide range of fibers available in different shapes, dimensions, lengths, and compositions.
I'll be putting some lifts in the big shop. The smaller "RoadHouse Garage" will be for an organized, comfortable, workshop where I will focus on one vehicle at a time.
Hey Rick hey Jamie thank you for the video but one thing the crew did wrong was they should have put down black plastic before they put down the cement because it's going to create moisture now that comes up from the ground but you can put a bucket in the garage Philip at least a little less than half full with rock salt and that will take the moisture out of the are don't put any lid on the bucket in the garage that doesn't have a wood stove because the wood stove will take away the moisture in the air it's going to make the are very dry
No apologies needed Richard. What we agree on and and enjoy together is what's important. Thank you for watching this channel as long as you have and keep coming back.
There are a LOT of things I wanted to do "Outside The Box" with the center section Terry. County Red Tape really makes that difficult, but I think people will be pleased with what I am going to do to make it special, but blended in if that makes sense.
Here's my generic response for all of the people who made rebar comments. ....A versatile mix, fiber-reinforced concrete can be used for slab on grade and pavements without the increased cost of using rebar. 👍👍 yeah awesome Rick, I can’t wait to see the first fire in the woodstove in the roadhouse garage
"FILM@11" Andy!
No moisture barrier or wire mesh in the concrete to prevent cracking.
Looks really thin in places maybe 3 inches
Ease up guys, concrete has come a long way since most of my viewers have dealt with it.
Jamie ate going to know how to act get home from work and just pull right into the garage. Yeah I bet she’s stoked.👍👍😎
Oh...She's stoked..... she's pushing the remote button and pulling her little Hot Rod Right in there next to her quad!
Rick, this day has been a long time coming. I rhink im about as excited as you are to see a garage with a smooth floor. Hope you and jamie are doing well
We're doing great Dennis. Thank you Buddy!

We're getting ready to build some more of those Bad-Boyz Andy!
With all the fill they put in the garages and no mesh or rebar those floors are gonna Crack, p.s the concrete in front of the garage is gonna block your underground power where it goes up into the meter🫣🫣
I think you may be right on the rebar, it might be a good idea to get in there and add some. Thanks so much.

Don't think I won't Brother! I'm game.
job well done
Thank you Gordon.
hi
RICK ,CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT IS THE PLAN FOR THE MIDDLE SECTION OF YOUR HOUSE? ARE YOU DO IT YOURSELF?
The plan is to build it in a way that blends it in with the existing sections, but also enhances the "Great Room" we will be creating in the center of the home. Yes, I will be doing it myself.
Just what to say hi to both of you and merry christmas
Thanks, Merry Christmas Peter!
the lines are where it is going to crack all concrete cracks and I see Jamie parking in there as soon as it is cured
Not my Super-Duper Gorillacrete. Its special.
you should have these guys pour your shop.
I think that's a very good suggestion. Thanks for the visit.

Looks like soon you can “shop” til you drop.
and I won't stop...
Hi Rick
Hi George. Thanks for stopping by again.
Put some Duct Tape on the corner of the house. "LOL"
Jamie might object to that. Haha.
Congratulations!! You now have a workshop! Soon you will have a home!
Its all coming together my Friend. Thanks for making this journey with us.
At last you can use the grages you have electric and gas in the building yet
Temporary electric in both garages.
Hmm I noticed no McSeven footage….
Do you know where your drone is?
McFly is safe and sound and accounted for. Just didn't think about bringing the little guy out Tom.
@
So not buzzing around NJ.
Good boy McSeven!
McFly is not responsible for what his family does.

Im worried about that concrete, it's very with no reo , its going to crack but i hope note ,i hope im wrong
Even if it were cracked in 50 places, it would be a heck of a lot better than what I've been working on for the past 9-years.
soon you'll be in a better shop...in comfort and making money
I still can't believe this is all coming together. Better days they are a coming. Thanks.
