Great review. I love this figure. The non beard head sculpt reminds me of the John Buscema look from the old Marvel comics. That’s how I’ve always pictured Conan when reading the paperbacks. So that’s a big plus for me. I looked for a basic looking throne on Amazon. I ended up getting McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Lex Luthor in Blue Power Suit 7" Action Figure with Throne & Accessories. It’s nice basic looking gold throne. I usually throw the red cape over the back. I also wanted to double the throne for my Paul Muad’Dib Dune figure, as emperor of the known universe. It works good for that as well.

Yeah I'm not sure if I will get the throne... I know Super 7 was selling one separately from their King Conan but I recall it being expensive... Thanks for having a look!

Yup, for me, being able to mix and match, kitbash, swap etc. is important. Especially, for those of us that collect several different lines of figures. If something only works by itself, it will most likely sit in a bin or in the box instead being used. Thanks for having a look!
I also missed the boat on the original mezco Conan. I got Conan the Conqueror but also got the Barbarian accessory pack with different heads and wanted to get another Mezco Conan body to use. Unfortunately any available figures were at too big of a markup for me but luckily I preordered King Conan.
Well then you'll at least have 2 bodies. I saw a guy selling a mezco king conan body on ebay stripped down, but it was 99 bucks! That was without a head or hands either. So yeah, it's challenging to get figs that fit Mezco Conan's size and aesthetic. If Mezco wanted to they could sell that base body with random barbarian dude heads and people would buy them up just to go with their Conan figs. Thanks for having a look!
Great looking figure, can't wait till I get mine. Also, it's not that MEZCO King Conan is too small, it's just that the other lines are too tall. 😏
LOL, yeah I suppose that's a valid POV... I didn't (but probably should have..) do a Black series comparison which is more true 6 inch or 1/12 scale. He probably looks like a beast compared them. Thanks for having a look!
They need to re-release their first Conan with those double-jointed elbows.
Yes, now there's a great idea! Even if they did an all new version with different accessories, and/or head sculpts but with the updated articulation I think it would sell. TBH, any modern action figure should have double elbows and knees. I get the idea of maintaining the sculpt but it's too important for the figure to have the most "action" it can have.
Great review and I really appreciate you doing all the size comparisons. I have him on preorder (never got the previous 2 mezco Conans) from bbts. Now I really have to think if I really want him that bad (he does look awesome) and who I could pose him with. I still might get him and just pose him next to creatures like Savage Crucible lizard men, etc. But yeah, they should have made him taller.
Yeah I'm right there with you. Even though I didn't get the either of the 1st two from Mezco, I seen enough reviews to know he was on the smaller side. I was hoping King Conan might be slightly taller but no dice... I wonder would these Mezco heads fit on Super 7's King Conan...?? That'd be an interesting combo as long as the skin tone was close enough. The biggest hang up here is that, even though we have lots of great Sword and Sorcery/Sandal lines going and coming in the future right now, they all tend towards 7inch scale. If Mezco had of at least made him comparable to Mythic Legions or Xesray it would be close enough....Sigh.... What could have been...LOL... Thanks for having a look!

Yeah, I recall you saying you were waiting on yours and I figured maybe you had ordered from BBTS who is notoriously late with getting their items in compared to other places. That's why I was a little surprised that I was able to find him on eBay... The mark up was only 30$ so I pulled the trigger since I knew it would go up a lot more later and was sold out at most retailers. And yes, I'm sure you will love this guy! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do in his King Conan adventures!

I ordered mine Mezco direct.I think they ship to all the big guys first.At least it's on the way!!My 1st King Conan story will be the abduction of Conans son...and the final face off between lifelong enemies..Conan and Thoth Amon!!...the story Im finishing up now will tie into it....just hope I have the years left to complete these tales lol!!!!!
Well you are pumping these things out quick, so I foresee many, many more coming!

Solid review, enjoyed your views and commentary. One slight problem though, the background music in the mix was a little too loud, made it difficult to follow along in some places. Might just be me and my poor hearing though 😅
Thanks for having a look and the feedback! I do try to turn down the music on the reviews so it is truly in the background, but I have found that there are fine lines between too low, low enough and too loud, LOL! Having said that I like putting music in that either fits the figure or is actually from the property, so I'll make sure to double check volumes next time. Thanks again!

Thanks for having a look! The head on that custom warrior is actually McFarlane/DC John Stewart Green Lantern. However its been heavily customized. I bought it on eBay from a guy that custom paints heads in a realistic looking fashion. It was specifically painted to match the Grayskull body. Once I got it, I then added the Egyptian style beard.

Thanks for having a look! Yes, you are not the only one to mention the volume of the music being a bit too loud. I'll definitely double check that in the future. I prefer to have music going in the background, but it looks like it needed to be lowered more than I did. Thanks for the feedback!

It's really the only "flaw" for this figure, IMO. Although, you do an excellent job of showcasing your Mezco Conan with Mythic Legions and other lines in your vids and the size difference isn't very noticeable... Like I showed in the video though, once you get to the Masterverse and Super 7 stuff the small size is very noticeable.
