Wow.... Poly AT in a monster synth, but sure wish it had 73 keys. Glad to see Fatar has finally come out with a Poly AT keyboard bed! Wonder how it compares to the ASM Hydrasynth Deluxe keybed which works so well it makes my non-Poly AT synths seem "broken" without Poly AT and release velocity. Way to go Waldorf!
Really appreciate your efforts to introduce this marvelous synth. Please note that the video quality does not allow to read in detail what e.g. is shown in the display. Otherwise looking forward a lot to what’s coming up next, thank you!
This has to be one of the least-shown flagship synths out on the market - here on TH-cam. Better late than never. Future worthy additional content, could also be a small set of videos showing completed short tracks, all made with Quantum and its onboard effects. There is so little to showcase what this synth can do, and not many show scenarios that help potential buyers see how this powerful instrument would sit in a project. I'm just being honest ;)
@@Massproduce201 I know many justify the price tag (it is a flagship afterall) by selling off expensive gear, that they use less in their studios. It's a huge chunk of change, but it does so many things, has high quality sound outputs, and only requires one wall plug lol.
The interaction design of the Quantum is really great. It is advanced but not complex. I never feel overwhelmed by all options, and i rarely use all functions. Instead the Quantum makes me want to explore ideas, from simple to advanced. Also, with patch 3.0 it gets even more advanced. The only thing on my wishlist now is to have CV inputs/outputs. I wish there was a euro rack module to connect the Quantum to a euro rack case. Send and receive audio and CV.
Mod assignment (6:30) seems not work with the Iridium, even though the manual clearly states that it does on page 125. Hope this will get fixed or implemented in an other way! Thanks for the video :) Edit: Found a workaround. When ever you move a parameter a little sheet pops up on the touch display. Tap on modulation and move the desired destination. :)
The picture quality is not good. The label on the device is not recognizable. The audio quality is very bad. That sounds like a microphone stands for a small speaker. Waldorf can do that much better.
@@ninnon354 Must be using a Panasonic GH5 or GH5s for recording the video. Recognized cameras with poor autofocus. They should have manual focused before recording.
Looking forward for more info about this amazing and complex synth, a tutorial series is much needed and appreciated 👍
Excellent video - thanks for creating it.
Yayyyy. Thanks for doing these :) . Looking forward to them.

I think because of its accessibility. Way too expensive for most. I would love this though get rid of my PC altogether.

It’s too difficult to see at a glance or work fast and the relationship between the screen and the knobs I very clunky . 👽
Can you sample directly through audio inputs or usb stick for User samples ?
You can record directly through the audio inputs. You can even do live granular through the audio inputs. Cheers.

does the compression knob add harmonics?
Part 1 means more are coming?
Part 2 Please!
Thank You, I am looking forwards to Graduating From Quantum College :)
Where’s part 2?
I want one
Nice
too many keyboard already using. why is a desktop version of the "quantum" not available?
today!
There is now. It is called Iridium. Cheers.
Where the heck is part II? I love the sound of this beast but this doesn't sound promising at all. Even Roland has a part II for every crap synth ;)

yes, the video is out of focus, even at 1080p text can't be clearly read.

Not impressed with its workflow at all . The screen and the knobs are not obvious at all. 🫤
