The car started out as a regular impala with a 3 speed! I purchased this car 1 year ago from the 2nd owner of 28 years who looked for one of these cars for 2 years before finding this amazing gem! I am looking to sell only because I just have too many car so a few have to go! He was very sad to let her go and I may be just as sad when it does go so please understand that I do not have to sell it but I can only say to anyone looking at my car...FIND ANOTHER ONE LIKE THIS!. The car came from Arizona with no rust and original paint, interior, chrome, glass, floors, trunk, etc.! The color is anniversary gold and from what I understand it was only a one year color and this interior came with this model as well. I know we have all heard of original paint cars and we have seen original paint cars but almost everyone I have ever seen has had a blow in of some kind somewhere or been clear coated recently etc. This is 100% the

Beautifull. My '62 Impala was the same color, but the Impala insignia on the R.R.& L.R. quarter panels were gold plated with the circles around the animal/Impala were chrome, & I looked at every Chevy Impala that I ever saw, & I have seen "ANY OTHER CHEVY IMPALA WITH THAT EXACT TWO COMBOS SHADES ON ANY OTHER VEHICLE"!! I loved that commemortive color was beautifull compared to the real " GOLDIE " color G.M. also had! Yuck!! I owned the car from 1962 to 1970, when we purchased a 1st. year Monte Carlo, a dark Phatham Blue w/ black vinyl roof. We loved that Chevy "A LOT"! 😍

I have an original 1958 Chevy Apache 3100 that also painted a 2 tone paint with Anniversary Gold and what I believe to be Honey Beige. 1962 wasn't the only year this paint was offered it was also offered in 54' and 58'.

The reason that engine was replaced is the original had the dogshit run out of it. Not to be badmouthing the car but the NHRA stickers on the L rear window is the tattle tale. lol. It is a gorgeous car, no doubt and I'd love to own it. I had a 63 SS with a 409 Z-11, with all the goodies. I know this video is 6 years old but I'm wanting to look into it deeper if it hasn't been sold.
Id love have this one and put a 61 roof on it, a bubbletop is still one of those left on my bucket list.
When was the trans swapped for the Muncie? GM used Borg/Warner until '64.

Thought that color was on some 63s.
It is. Both years were coded 927. 63 is not in the paint code book however because it was not mass produced. It was special order for dealerships showroom and for buyers who wanted that specific color

Not sure about the Camaro but yes that gold tone (though not exact) was used in other cars out the factory. I sometimes call it Chevy gold, cause the Bowtie logo uses that color
