This is what I love about Superstore. I just love how a simple subject will suddenly snowball into a larger discussion, to the point there's no stopping it from becoming an avalanche of chaos. I mean, Jonah's simple lunch break talk becoming Glenn repeatedly yelling *_"ABORTION ABORTION ABORTION"_* was nothing short of brilliant. Kudos to the writers of this underrated show.

Marcus used to work on the floor but after he got his thumbnut off while working the deli without training he was transferred to the warehouse and becomes head of the warehouse staff.
Being in payroll, Marcus should not have to pay back the overpayments. It was the "company" who made the mistake and they didn't fix it in a reasonable amount of time. The most they could get back is the most recent direct deposit if the store actually pays its paychecks via direct deposit, but I'm doubting that.
Yeah, but as an employee, he's entitled to let them know about the mistake when clearly companies tell you how much you are gonna make beforehand. It is like saying: he sees someone stealing in the store and stays quiet.
My first instinct was to say, you must be fun at parties... My second instinct - because I also do payroll - is that it varies by state so let's not make overarching comments. My state can correct errors without employee consent (but with several caveats) going back six months if the error was typographical, clerical or a misprint which is clearly was in this case.
